Your dishwasher quits on a Tuesday night, and the replacement is going on your card, not the school’s. These twelve places each have a real teacher offer for furniture, appliances or home goods. Three are warehouse clubs that reward new members, four are appliance makers that open teacher pricing once you verify, and the other five sell couches, mattresses and anti-fatigue mats.
Each one asks you to verify as a teacher. Costco, Sam’s Club and BJ’s also want you to be a new member, so check that before anything else.

Costco: A Shop Card When You Join as a New Member
A new Executive Member gets a $40 Digital Costco Shop Card, and a new Gold Star Member gets $20. You verify as a teacher with a school-issued email address, then use the single-use promo code when you enter your payment information. The card only comes if you set up auto renewal at sign-up on a Visa credit or debit card or a Mastercard debit card, and Costco emails it within two weeks. It can’t be spent at the food court. If you’ve held any kind of Costco membership in the last 18 months you don’t qualify, and the promotion can’t be combined with other promotions.

Sam’s Club: A Discounted Membership for New Members
Sam’s Club offers U.S. teachers a discounted membership, and ID.me lists both the Club and Plus tiers at a teacher price. You have to join as a new member through the ID.me link, and the savings come off at checkout. Renewals, current members, recent former members and Walmart and Sam’s Club associates don’t qualify. The offer page shows today’s price and the date the offer ends, so read both before you sign up.

The reward lands on your account 24 hours after you enroll, and you have 30 days to use it. It’s for new members only and can’t be combined with other offers. Q&A
Q: Which of these are only for new members?
A: Costco, Sam’s Club and BJ’s. A current member is out of all three, and Costco and Sam’s Club also turn away anyone who held a membership recently.
Q: Which appliance makers don’t say how much I’ll save?
A: KitchenAid, Whirlpool and GE don’t print a percentage on their teacher pages. LG is the exception: it guarantees at least 10% compared with LG.com sale prices.
Q: Can I use these with other coupons?
A: Mostly no. Costco, BJ’s, Lovesac, Mattress Firm, Purple, Leesa and Wellness Mats all say so in their terms. Sam’s Club, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, GE and LG don’t say either way.
Q: Who counts as a teacher?
A: It depends on the place. BJ’s accepts current U.S. educators, including substitute teachers, librarians, counselors and nurses, but not retired or uncertified homeschool teachers. Mattress Firm and Leesa include teachers, faculty and staff at K-12 schools and degree-granting colleges. Wellness Mats names K-12 teachers and college professors, and Costco asks for a school-issued email address.
