Lovesac gives teachers an extra 5% off. You verify as a teacher through SheerID, get a single-use code, and use it on a purchase made online or in a Lovesac showroom.
Lovesac started in 1995, when Shawn Nelson built an eight-foot-wide, foam-filled sac in the basement of his parents’ Utah home. It became a company in 1998 and took its name from that original sac. In 2006 the company launched Sactionals, couches it describes as endlessly reconfigurable and machine-washable, and it has been traded on Nasdaq since 2018. That history explains the product: a sofa you can add to and rearrange as a room changes, rather than one you replace.
How To Get The Lovesac Teacher Discount
The discount runs through SheerID, so verification comes before the purchase.
- Open Lovesac’s discount page and choose the Teachers option.
- Finish SheerID’s verification. Lovesac says you must complete it to get the one-time code before you buy.
- Use the code on your purchase, online or in a showroom.
The code is single-use, and Lovesac’s terms say a discount can’t be applied to a purchase you’ve already made, so get the code before you check out. It applies to US orders only. The terms exclude Room of Choice and White Glove Delivery, Lovesac Everyday Accident Protection, the Let Me Save You 25 Years book, clearance items, floor models, The Secret Ingredients Hardware Kit, Sactionals Shoes, Sactionals Feet, Sactionals Clamp and Shrink Kits. The offer isn’t combinable with Preconfigured Sactionals. It may be combinable with other discounts depending on each promotion’s own terms, and it can be combined with financing through the Lovesac Credit Card offer.
Q&A
How much is the Lovesac teacher discount?
It’s 5% off, with eligibility verified by SheerID. SheerID’s own shopper listing calls it an additional 5% off for teachers.
Who else qualifies besides teachers?
Lovesac lists active or retired U.S. service members and their registered dependents, active first responders, healthcare workers and veterinary professionals.
Can I use the code in a showroom?
Yes. The terms cover purchases made either in a Lovesac showroom or online at lovesac.com, with the single-use code from SheerID.
Can I add the discount to an order I already placed?
No. Lovesac’s terms say discounts can’t be applied to previous purchases, so verify first.
Does it work on clearance items or floor models?
No. Both are on Lovesac’s exclusion list, along with delivery services, accident protection and several Sactionals accessories, so a marked-down piece won’t take the code.
Does it stack with a sale?
Lovesac says the offer may be combinable with other discounts, subject to each promotion’s own terms, and that it isn’t combinable with Preconfigured Sactionals. Check the terms of the sale you have in mind before you rely on it.
Is the discount good outside the US?
No. The terms say it applies to US orders only.
