LG gives teachers a minimum guaranteed 10% off LG.com sale prices through its Appreciation Program, and you verify with ID.me. The program page also promises free installation on select LG OLED TVs and on all refrigerators, laundry products and cooking ranges, plus free delivery.
If a new fridge or washer is on your list this season, or you’re eyeing a TV for the living room, the installation line is worth a close read, since it names exactly which products get it. We’ve kept this post to what LG’s own pages say and noted what they leave out.
How To Get The LG Electronics Teacher Discount
The page tells you to verify your status using ID.me, then create an LG Account to claim access to exclusive offers and discounts. Its FAQ says returning members can skip verification and sign in directly on the LG Store, so you shouldn’t have to repeat the ID.me step every time you shop.
LG says its offers and exclusive savings are available only on the LG Store, so plan on buying through LG’s own site. ID.me’s LG Electronics page lists the same offer for Teachers as a minimum 10% additional savings from the LG.com sale price.
Who Counts As A Teacher
LG’s page lists teachers in a group with first responders, medical providers, nurses, hospital employees, military and veterans, students and government employees, all verified through ID.me. It doesn’t define “teacher”. Pre-K, college, homeschool, retired and support staff aren’t named, so if you’re not a classroom K-12 teacher, check with LG before you count on it.
What You Get
The headline benefit is year-round savings on LG products with a minimum guaranteed discount of 10% compared to LG.com sale prices. Because it’s measured against the LG.com sale price, you pay whatever LG is charging that day, less the discount. The page adds that prices, promotions and availability may vary by model, store and online, and that prices are subject to change without notice.
Installation is free on select LG OLED TVs and on all refrigerators, laundry products and cooking ranges, including eligible LG STUDIO appliances. Delivery is free as well, though the page says shipping charges may apply to select accessories.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
LG’s Partner Store page, which people affiliated with the military, government, healthcare or education reach by verifying with ID.me, describes an additional 10% off LG-branded appliances and electronics or an additional 15% off LG STUDIO appliances. The Teachers page states only the 10% minimum, so we can’t say whether teachers get the 15% rate on LG STUDIO appliances. The same page says Partner Store members may purchase up to 100 items per year, with category limits, and we couldn’t tell whether that applies to teachers.
LG doesn’t state an end date for the 10%, and it doesn’t say whether the discount stacks with other LG offers. We didn’t verify through ID.me or place an order, so we can’t show you a final price.
