Dr. Martens gives verified teachers 15% off. The 15% is listed on the teacher page that Dr. Martens runs through gocertify.me, which says to verify your employment to get your Dr. Martens teacher discount code. The offer terms add that it’s for teachers currently working in the USA and valid at drmartens.com/us/en only.
If you’ve been saving up for a pair of boots, the thing to sort out before you start is how you’ll prove you teach, since the verification page gives you a few options and not every one of them will be sitting in your bag on a Sunday night. Here’s what each source says, and the one point where we couldn’t settle what applies.
How To Get The Dr. Martens Teacher Discount
Start at the Dr. Martens teacher page on gocertify.me, which lists 15% off for Teachers at Dr. Martens. The page says teachers can now benefit from exclusive discounts and that you verify your employment to get your discount code. The FAQ says the verification service is run by gocertify.me, and that for any queries about verification or eligibility you tap the Support button.
The FAQ lists several ways to verify. Two of them are a staff ID badge issued by your school, college or university that shows your name, photo and institution, and a work email confirmation using your work email. Whichever you use, the offer terms say the discount is available to verified First Responders, Healthcare Workers, and Teachers currently working in the USA.
Who Counts As A Teacher
The FAQ is broader than just classroom teachers in K-12. Among the groups it lists are full-time and part-time teachers at any level from early years through secondary and high school, college and university lecturers, professors and teaching staff, and registered homeschool educators, where applicable. The offer terms still apply on top of that list, so the requirement is to be currently working in the USA.
What’s Excluded
The offer terms say promotion codes aren’t valid on Collaboration items, socks, shoelaces, shoe care and insoles. They also say promotion codes can’t be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer, so if a sale is already running on the pair you want, you’re choosing between the two.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The offer terms say the offer is valid at drmartens.com/us/en only, and that’s the wording this page goes by. Dr. Martens’ main promotions page on drmartens.com sits behind a visitor check that wouldn’t let us through when we looked, so we can’t tell you what that page says about stores, and we haven’t confirmed whether the code works at a Dr. Martens store register. If you plan to buy in person, ask before you count on it.
We also haven’t confirmed whether gift cards are covered by the exclusions, because the sources we could read don’t list them. The gocertify.me pages don’t give an expiry date for the discount either.
