Oakley gives teachers 15% off, according to ID.me, and the offer also reaches Oakley Meta AI glasses. It comes with a cap on how much you can spend under it and a fairly long list of things it leaves out, so it’s worth knowing both before you fill a cart.
We tried to read Oakley’s own site to look for the program, and it returned an access-denied page to our automated request. Everything below comes from ID.me’s pages for Oakley, which is where the teacher offer is listed.
How To Get The Oakley Teacher Discount
ID.me words the teacher offer as 15% off for Teachers, also available on Oakley Meta AI glasses. Start at ID.me’s Oakley page, sign in to your ID.me account or make a free one, and confirm that you’re a teacher. ID.me says verified Teachers community members get these savings through ID.me Shop, so use that route instead of going straight to the store.
Once you’re through, put the items in your cart and check that the 15% shows before you pay. If an item you wanted doesn’t get it, the exclusions below are the first place to look.
The $500 Cap
ID.me’s restriction note says the offer has a max $500 expenditure. We read that as the discount applying to up to $500 of spending, which works out to as much as $75 off at 15%. ID.me doesn’t spell out what happens past the cap, so if you’re shopping for a pair that costs more, it’s worth working out your price on the first $500 and the remainder separately before you pay.
What The Offer Leaves Out
ID.me lists several limits. The offer is not stackable on markdown promos, new product launches and limited editions, so a pair already on sale or one that just dropped won’t get the extra 15%. It’s also not applicable on the NFL collection, helmets, goggles, the Physiomorphic family, Kato, Encoder, Kaast and Subzero. And it’s not cumulable with other discount codes, so a code from an email can’t ride along with it.
That leaves regular-priced sunglasses and eyewear as the clearest fit. If what you want is on the exclusion list, you’ll want to find that out at the product page, not at the final checkout step.
Meta AI Glasses
ID.me’s wording says the 15% is also available on Oakley Meta AI glasses. The same note says the Meta AI glasses discount is available online only, so a shop visit won’t get it for you. Check the cart before you pay, since the other exclusions in the note may still apply to the specific model you pick.
Cash Back
ID.me’s page also lists up to 6.0% cash back at Oakley. We couldn’t confirm whether you can take that and the teacher discount on the same order, so read the cash back terms on ID.me before you count on both.
