Clarks gives teachers a discount through ID.me when you shop on its US online store. Its ID.me program page says Clarks offers a Military discount, a First Responder Discount and also Teachers, and that you receive the discount while shopping online by verifying with ID.me. Clarks’s page doesn’t print a percentage, and ID.me’s Clarks listing shows 10% off for Teachers.

If your work shoes are wearing thin after a lot of time on your feet, or you’re picking out a pair for a colleague, the teacher option is easy to miss. The page is titled ID.me Program: Military Discount, and teachers are named in the program paragraph and again in the list you choose from at checkout.

How To Get The Clarks Teacher Discount

The page says to verify your eligibility with ID.me while you shop online. At checkout, it says to choose Military, Nurse, Medical Professional, First Responder, Airline Employee or Teacher Discount, so you’re looking for Teacher Discount in that list.

The FAQ on the page says to verify with any of the following: document upload, for example a redacted pay stub, or email verification. It also says that once your credential is verified, you immediately receive your offer.

What The Discount Is Worth

Clarks’s page states no percentage, dollar amount or cap. ID.me’s Clarks listing says 10% off for Teachers, which is ID.me’s figure and not one we found on Clarks’s own page. The page adds a note with an asterisk: Discount may be greater during promotional timeframes. It doesn’t say which promotion or how much greater, so check your total after you verify and before you pay.

What’s Left Out

The page says this discount cannot be combined with other promotional codes or applied to any gift card purchases, and ID.me’s listing says the same. Going by that line, if Clarks is running a sale that needs a promo code, you’ll be choosing between the code and the teacher discount.

The FAQ also says the program is only for eligible members, in answer to a question about giving your discount to friends who aren’t eligible. A colleague who wants the discount will need to verify on their own.

Online Only

The page says you can receive your discount while shopping online. It doesn’t mention Clarks stores, and we only read the US site, so we wouldn’t plan on showing a teacher ID at a store counter or using this on a Clarks site for another country.

What We Couldn’t Confirm

The page names Teachers and points to ID.me, but it doesn’t say who counts. We can’t tell you whether it covers K-12 only, college instructors, support staff or retired teachers. It doesn’t state an end date or a limit on how many times you can use the discount. We also didn’t go through ID.me verification ourselves, so we can’t say which documents ID.me asks a teacher for. The pay stub on the page is only an example.
