KEEN names teachers on its ID.me page, which says KEEN is proud to offer special pricing for military members and veterans, first responders, government employees, nurses, students, and teachers through the ID.me program. KEEN’s Pro page also asks “Are you a student or teacher?” and says KEEN has partnered with Student Beans to hook students and faculty up with savings. KEEN’s own pages don’t print a percentage, and the Pro page adds the scope: “We are only able to ship to addresses in the United States.”
If you spend your days on a hard classroom floor and a pair of boots, sandals or shoes is on your list, KEEN’s Pro program is the page to start from. Two routes show up on KEEN’s pages, so it’s worth knowing which one you’re on before you verify.
How To Get The KEEN Teacher Discount
The first route is ID.me. KEEN’s ID.me page says to join the KEEN Pro program for a discount on KEEN boots, sandals, and shoes with easy verification through ID.me. You sign in or create an ID.me account, add the items you want from keenfootwear.com to your shopping cart, and once they’re in the cart your discount will apply. KEEN doesn’t print the percentage. ID.me’s own store page for KEEN Footwear lists 15% Off for Teachers.
The second route is Student Beans. KEEN’s Students page says savings are available for full-time students and faculty at registered educational institutions, and that the offer is open to students and faculty of high schools (students over the age of 16), colleges, and universities. You register using either an email or “credit card” style ID from your school, then verify by clicking the link on that page. Once Student Beans gives you the thumbs up, you can start shopping with your KEEN discount.
What The Terms Say
KEEN’s ID.me page says discounts cannot be combined with any other promotion. It also says that when you’re logged into ID.me Wallet on keenfootwear.com only applicable items will be discounted, that discounted products are subject to availability, and that KEEN can change or remove a product from the ID.me promotion at any time without prior notice.
The same page answers whether you can share your discount with non-eligible friends: “No. This program is for personal use and only for eligible members.” It describes the discount as something you get on keenfootwear.com, and the Pro page says KEEN is only able to ship to addresses in the United States.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
KEEN’s ID.me page names teachers in its opening line, but its “Who benefits from the program?” answer lists only military members and veterans, first responders, and government officials. We couldn’t tell from KEEN’s pages whether a teacher verifies through ID.me, through Student Beans, or either one.
KEEN’s Students page says the offer is open to students and faculty of high schools, colleges, and universities, and it doesn’t say whether elementary or middle school teachers count. We also couldn’t see whether the 15% on ID.me’s store page is the rate KEEN applies at your cart, or whether the ID.me and Student Beans savings can be used together. Check the rate once you’re verified and your items are in the cart.
