Rothy’s gives teachers 20% off one pair of shoes, verified through SheerID, on rothys.com or in a Rothy’s retail store. Its discount page says it offers a 20% discount to teachers, first responders, medical professionals, military and students, and the terms say the offer is valid in the U.S. only.
If you’ve been eyeing a pair of Rothy’s for the school year, the fine print decides how to use this: a $95 minimum purchase, one pair, and one code per person per calendar year. We’ve laid each of those out below.
How To Get The Rothy’s Teacher Discount
The discount page says to select your profession to get 20% off. The terms say all applicable parties must complete the SheerID verification process to receive their discount code, and that discount codes must be applied at checkout, prior to purchase, either online or in-store. The terms also say lost or stolen discount codes will not be replaced, so save yours somewhere safe once you have it.
Who Qualifies
The terms list teachers, faculty, or staff employed at a K-12 school or university. That puts school and university staff on the list alongside classroom teachers. The same list also names students enrolled in a degree or certificate-granting, accredited school of education, along with the other groups on the discount page.
The Fine Print
The terms say the 20% is off one pair of shoes found on rothys.com or in a Rothy’s retail store, with a $95 minimum purchase required. They limit one discount code per person per calendar year, so spend it on the pair you actually want. All shoes sitewide and in-store are eligible unless stated otherwise, and the terms add that some exclusions may apply.
Discount codes cannot be stacked, redeemed for cash, combined with any other promotions or offers, applied to previous purchases, or applied to the purchase of gift cards, bags or accessories. If Rothy’s is running another promotion when you order, the terms say the code can’t be combined with it, so do the arithmetic before you pick one.
The terms give an expiration time and date for all discount codes, so check it on the page when you get yours. They also say the terms of the offer are subject to change at any time.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The page doesn’t say whether the $95 minimum is counted before or after the 20% comes off, and it doesn’t list which exclusions it means by “some exclusions may apply.” It also doesn’t say whether retired teachers or substitutes can verify. We didn’t go through SheerID or place an order, so we can’t tell you what the verification screens ask for or what the cart shows after the code is applied.
