Steve Madden gives teachers 25% off, verified through SheerID. Its teacher page is titled “Teacher Appreciation Discount | 25% Off Shoes & Clothing,” and it says to verify you’re a teacher or staff at a K-12 or degree-granting university and get 25% off.
If a pair of Steve Madden shoes has been sitting in your cart, the detail to know before you verify is that the code you get is single-use. Here’s what the page and SheerID’s program text say.
How To Get The Steve Madden Teacher Discount
Start on the teacher discount page. The verification runs through SheerID, and its program text for Steve Madden says to verify you’re a teacher, faculty or staff at a K-12 or degree-granting university, and that the discount is valid online only. It also says your full name and email address must match what is on record with your school, so have your school email handy.
After successful verification, SheerID’s text says you’ll receive a single-use promo code. It also says the code is unique to you, can only be used once, and is valid online only, so save it somewhere you can find it.
Who Qualifies
Steve Madden’s page says a teacher or staff at a K-12 or degree-granting university. SheerID’s program text adds that the offer is available to teachers, faculty and staff currently working in the education field and anyone who has an active teaching credential. Neither one says whether a substitute, a retired teacher or a homeschool teacher would verify.
ID.me Isn’t Part Of It
ID.me’s own Steve Madden page says Steve Madden does not use ID.me for Teachers verification, so there’s no ID.me step in the process above.
What The Discount Leaves Out
SheerID’s text says the discount is valid online only, so plan on a website order. Steve Madden’s general promotion terms say promotions don’t apply to sale items and clearance items unless otherwise stated, that they exclude all Pre-Order styles and a list of other exclusions, and that they can’t be applied to previous purchases or combined with any other offers or discounts, including price matching.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The teacher page doesn’t say that those general promotion terms govern the teacher code, so we can’t tell you whether it works on sale items or on top of another offer. It also doesn’t say how long the code lasts after you receive it. SheerID’s text includes a message that says, due to tremendous demand, the offer is no longer available, and to check tomorrow to see if it is available, and we can’t say how often that message appears. We didn’t go through the verification or place an order, so we can’t say what the cart shows after you enter the code.
