DSW gives teachers 10% off a qualifying online purchase. You verify your employment status through Beans iD, which takes about 2 minutes, then reveal a one-time code and enter it at checkout. The code works online only, so it won’t apply to a pair you pick up in a DSW store.
DSW sells shoes for women, men and kids in stores and at dsw.com. The range runs from athletic shoes, sneakers and running shoes to boots, sandals, slides, dress shoes, heels and work and safety shoes, plus accessories. If you’re shopping for the school year, the teacher code is the first thing to set up before you fill a bag.
How To Get The DSW Teacher Discount
DSW’s Special Group Discounts page sends teachers to Beans iD to verify. Military members and healthcare workers get a discount there too. For the teacher code:
- Open the Special Group Discounts page and choose Teacher Discount.
- Create a free Beans iD account and verify your employment status. It takes about 2 minutes.
- Reveal your code, then enter it at checkout on dsw.com.
DSW doesn’t say which school roles count, so you’ll find out whether yours fits when you verify.
What The Code Covers
The code takes 10% off a qualifying purchase on dsw.com. It isn’t valid at DSW stores in the US, at DSW Canada or at dsw.ca. The limit is one per customer and the code is one-time use, so save it for the order you care about most.
Brand exclusions apply. Brooks, Nike, Birkenstock, Converse and Ugg are among the brands DSW leaves out of its promotions entirely, and select styles from other brands, Adidas among them, are excluded too. Check the DSW exclusions page before you build a cart around one brand.
Other Ways To Save At DSW

Spend $250 and you reach Gold, which earns 10 points per $1. Elite starts at $500 spent and earns 15 points per $1. First-time email subscribers also get 10% off.
