New Balance gives teachers 15% off online. You verify you’re a teacher with ID.me, New Balance gives you a one-time discount code, and you enter it at checkout on newbalance.com. It only works on full price items and only online, so it won’t help in a New Balance store or on anything already on sale.
If you’re shopping for a pair of walking shoes for long days on your feet, the most useful thing to know before you build a cart is that some of New Balance’s best-known styles are excluded. More on that below.
How To Get The New Balance Teacher Discount
- Click the button below and choose Verify with ID.me. If you don’t have an ID.me account, create one and confirm your email address when it asks.
- Once ID.me confirms you’re a teacher, New Balance gives you a unique discount code.
- Shop newbalance.com and add eligible items to your bag.
- Enter your code at checkout, and check the total before you pay.
Who Counts As A Teacher
New Balance counts classroom teachers, principals, school employees and college professors, and says that list goes on. If your role isn’t on it, such as a paraprofessional, a bus driver or a school librarian, you find out whether you qualify when you verify. The same ID.me check covers other groups too, so if someone in your house is a nurse, a first responder or in the military, they can get the same 15% with their own code.
What The Discount Doesn’t Cover
Each code works once, and you get one code per customer every 30 days. You can’t combine it with other offers, and it doesn’t apply to sale prices. New Balance also keeps a list of styles excluded from all discounts and codes. It includes popular lifestyle shoes like the 327, 530, 574, 740, 990, 991, 992, 993 and 1300, and running shoes like the 680, 860, 880, 1080, 1240 and 1540. Gift cards and eGift cards are excluded too. Look at that list before you pick a pair, because a style on it won’t take your code.
The Order Cap And Free Shipping
ID.me lists the teacher offer as 15% off orders up to $400, with free shipping. New Balance doesn’t mention a cap or free shipping, so look for both at checkout. If you’re planning a bigger order, check what the 15% takes off at checkout.
