Full disclosure: If you visit a link on this page and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Microsoft provides students and teachers the chance to save up to 10% on select products and software, offering discounts of up to 10% automatically added at checkout once your status has been verified with them. Unfortunately, digital apps, subscription services, personalized products as well as Xbox consoles/games do not qualify for this discount.

Windows 10 is an operating system from Microsoft that can be installed on multiple devices, including computers, tablets and mobile phones. It stands out from other operating systems due to features like running apps in tablet mode and using facial or fingerprint recognition unlock the device. Furthermore, its app store contains thousands of applications covering music videos movies and gaming.

As much as it might be tempting to purchase Windows 10 on your own, it can often be more economical to obtain it through school or university programs. Some community colleges, for instance, offer this license free or at an extremely reasonable cost (usually $15 or so) to students enrolling in one or more courses.

To qualify for a Windows 10 teacher discount, you must be either an full- or part-time student, teacher, or parent buying on behalf of either. Microsoft provides a verification portal which must be utilized. Unfortunately, discounts cannot be extended to personal purchases or bulk orders.
