Teach the Love
Southwest has joined forces with Chase to offer three deserving teachers an unforgettable Edu-Vacation. The winners will receive all expenses paid trips to a destination that reflects their teaching specialties or interests.
Travel Insurance for Educators
Before traveling, teachers should make sure they have travel insurance in case something goes awry or they require emergency medical care abroad. The International Teachers Identity Card (ITIC) is a great option; with just $199 annually you can get $3,000 trip cancellation coverage and $100,000 in emergency and medical cover.
Vacations and Tours for Educators
Many travel and tour companies offer discounts to teachers, including discounted tickets to theme parks and attractions. In Florida, for instance, popular attractions like SeaWorld or Kennedy Space Center provide free teacher passes with proof of employment.
The National Education Association offers discounted tickets for educators to theme parks, theaters and more. Their NEA Discount Tickets Program offers savings on all forms of travel and entertainment.
