Hydro Flask gives teachers a discount through its Pro Deal program, and it doesn’t publish the rate. Its Pro Deal page lists teachers as K-12 faculty and university faculty at US schools, and says “Discounts off MSRP vary between individuals, and professional groups, and are subject to change.”
If the same bottle has been on your desk for years and you’ve got your eye on a new size or color, the Pro Deal is the program to apply to. A few of its rules, especially the one about gifts, are worth knowing before you do.
How To Get The Hydro Flask Teacher Discount
The page opens with “Hydro Flask is proud to offer an exclusive in-house Pro Deal Program.” Under Teachers, it lists K-12 faculty and university faculty, with the note that it covers US schools only. It also says the program is “membership-based” for qualified individuals, and to join, you “Create your account on hydroflask.com and get verified.”
After that, the page says “You will need to login to your account before shopping to access Pro pricing. Pro pricing will be reflected on the product page and at check out.” The page doesn’t mention a code. It says a Pro Deal account is valid for 1 year. The button below goes to the Pro Deal page, where the account and application are.
The Rules Of The Pro Deal
If you were hoping to use this for holiday gifts, read this part first. The page says “Your pro account is for you and meant to outfit you for the work that you do. Please do not buy gear for others.” It also says “You must make all purchases,” with exceptions if its Pro team approves them, and that Hydro Flask regularly monitors Pro Deal accounts and orders and will revoke the privilege if it sees abuse.
The page says “No returns on orders with Pro Deal purchases.” It adds that all Hydro Flask products are still covered under its product guarantee, so the return rule matters most if you aren’t sure about a size or color. The page also says “Not all products are eligible for this discount,” so check the price on the item you want before you pay.
What About The 15% Pop-Up?
The Pro Deal page also carries an email pop-up that reads “15% off your first order.” Its fine print says “Offer excludes Sale and Pro Deal memberships.” So that one is a separate offer from the Pro Deal, and it isn’t the teacher discount.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
Hydro Flask doesn’t publish a percentage for teachers, and we didn’t apply, so we can’t say what you’d save. SheerID’s listing is titled “Save 20% on Hydro Flask products for Teachers, Educators, and Faculty,” but Hydro Flask’s own page doesn’t say 20%, so we haven’t treated it as your rate. ID.me’s Hydro Flask page says “We’re not aware that Hydro Flask offers Teachers discounts.”
The page doesn’t say which documents the application asks for or how long approval takes, and it doesn’t mention retired, substitute or homeschool teachers. If you’re shopping for the holidays, apply early and check the price on the product page before you pay.
