Google Store gives verified teachers an extra 10% off eligible purchases. Its offers page says to enjoy 10% off eligible purchases when you verify with ID.me, and teachers are one of several groups it names, so this is a general verified-professionals offer and not a teachers-only one. It’s for US residents aged 18 or older with US shipping addresses.
If a Pixel phone or a Nest device is on your holiday list, this is worth setting up before you pay. Here’s how the code works, what’s left out and what Google doesn’t say.
How To Get The Google Store Teacher Discount
Google’s offers page says to log in to verify yourself and you’ll receive an extra 10% off coupon redeemable at checkout at the Google Store. Its help article tells you to check your status in ID.me, and describes the result as an exclusive, one-time use 10% discount code.
To use it, go to store.google.com or a physical retail Google Store, add what you want to the cart and enter the code during checkout. Google says the code takes an extra 10% off instantly, with the excluded items listed below. You have to be signed in to your Google Account and check out with a Google Pay profile that has a valid form of payment.
Who Counts As A Teacher
The offers page lists teachers alongside military members and veterans, first responders, nurses, medical providers, students, hospital employees and government employees. ID.me’s Google Store teacher page says Google Store has a Teachers discount, and its store listing says Teachers save an extra 10% on eligible purchases at the Google Store. Google’s pages don’t say whether teacher means K-12 teachers, college instructors or both, and its help article sends you to ID.me to check your eligibility.
Limits And What’s Excluded
Each code is for one use only, has no residual balance, can’t be transferred and can’t be combined with other discount codes. Google’s help article says you can’t use codes with other discounts or a combination of codes, and that only one promotional code can be applied per order. ID.me’s store listing adds a limit of three discount codes per customer per year.
The offers page says the code can’t be used for Google Home Premium, Professional Installation, Preferred Care, Financing, Fitbit Premium or any other subscriptions. The help article’s list is longer. It also names Nest Mini, Chromecast with Google TV (HD and 4K), Pixel Care+ and Google Health Premium, so check the item you’re buying against both lists.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
Google’s offers page has no Black Friday or holiday wording for this code, and it doesn’t say whether the code works on a sale price. The help article says you can’t use codes with other discounts, so don’t assume a sale and the code will stack. The offer’s terms give it an end date and say it’s available while supplies last, so read that date on the page before you plan around it. We didn’t verify through ID.me or place an order, so we can’t say what your cart shows.
