Famous Footwear’s teacher discount ran for a set window of dates, and we couldn’t confirm one right now. An earlier saved copy of its discount program page said all teachers and military members could enjoy an exclusive 10% discount, online and in store, in the U.S. only. A later saved copy of the same page names only military members. What we did find is cash back: Rakuten lists 2% at Famous Footwear, and Fluz lists Famous Footwear gift cards with 11% cashback.
If a coworker mentioned a teacher discount at Famous Footwear and you’re planning a shoe run for the holidays, here’s what its own page said while the offer ran, what the later copy shows, and where cash back picks up the slack.
How To Get The Famous Footwear Teacher Discount
There isn’t a teacher discount we could confirm right now, so there’s no code or verification step to walk through. We couldn’t open Famous Footwear’s live discount page, which sat behind a security check, so everything about the teacher offer below comes from the saved copies.
The earlier copy said the discount was 10% off one purchase on famous.com, valid for a window with a stated start and end date, and that you had to be 18 years of age or more. Eligible were high school, university, post-secondary, and K-12 faculty. In a store, the page said to present your valid teacher’s I.D. card to an associate at checkout.
The terms on that copy said discount codes can’t be stacked, redeemed for cash, combined with any other promotions or offers, or applied to the purchase of gift cards or previously purchased merchandise. They set a limit of up to 21 items per discount code, said codes expire at 11:59PM CST on the last date of the window, and said the offer was valid in the U.S. only.
The later copy leads with a different group. It says all military members can enjoy an exclusive 10% discount, online and in store, and carries no teacher wording. SheerID’s Famous Footwear listing shows 10% Off for Military, and ID.me’s Famous Footwear page says it isn’t aware of Famous Footwear offering Teachers community discounts. The best option left is cash back on the order you were going to place anyway, and the button below goes to Fluz, where Famous Footwear gift cards list 11%.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
Fluz lists Famous Footwear gift cards with 11% cashback, so this route works by buying a gift card. Rakuten lists 2% cash back at Famous Footwear for an ordinary order, and it’s a separate route: Rakuten’s terms say cash back isn’t available on the purchase of gift cards and e-gift cards, and that orders deemed for reselling purposes aren’t eligible. They also say using coupon codes that aren’t listed on Rakuten will void cash back.
TopCashback has a Famous Footwear page too, but we couldn’t read a rate off it, so we aren’t quoting one. Rates move, so look at the number on each site before you pay.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
Because the live page wouldn’t load for us, we can’t rule out a new or returning teacher offer, and nothing we read says whether one is planned. We also couldn’t check whether Rakuten or Fluz can be combined with a Famous Footwear sale price or with each other on one order.
