Georgia Aquarium doesn’t list a discounted single-day ticket for educators. What its own page does offer is 20% off Individual and Family Memberships for all educators, and you show your school ID when you redeem the membership at the aquarium.
If you’re a teacher who’d go back more than once, a membership is the one educator benefit the aquarium puts in writing, so that’s the one we walk through here. We didn’t run a checkout, so look at the price you’re shown after the savings apply before you commit.
How To Get The Georgia Aquarium Teacher Discount
The educator membership page has an Apply Savings button. Before you press it, know that the page says applying the promotion will remove any items you have currently added to your cart this session. If you have tickets or a gift item waiting in a cart, finish that checkout before you start the membership. The page tells you to purchase a membership to receive 20% off Individual and Family Memberships, and it says there are multiple membership options to choose from.
Then you bring your school ID. The page says you’ll be asked to show it to redeem your membership when you arrive, so make sure you pack it.
There’s a limit. The educator page’s limit line reads “Limit 2 Individual Memberships or 1 Family Membership.” The aquarium’s membership page repeats the offer and words the limit as 2 Individual Memberships, 1 Family Membership, or 1 Family Plus Membership.
Who Counts As An Educator
The page says all educators, and it doesn’t put a grade level, a state or a type of school on it. It doesn’t mention homeschool educators either way. Your school ID is the proof the page names, so a teacher without one should ask the aquarium what else it accepts before buying.
What You Give Up
This is a membership discount, not a cheaper day ticket. The aquarium’s tickets page has no educator or teacher ticket, discount, admission or rate entry, so a one-time visit isn’t covered here. It does offer tickets for 15 or more guests, which is a different route.
Visiting With A Class
The aquarium’s school booking page is where a class trip goes. It lists 1 complimentary adult for every 5 students from Pre-K to 2nd Grade and 1 complimentary adult for every 10 students from 3rd Grade to 12th Grade. It also describes a Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) Grant for Title I schools and select non-profit organizations operating in the State of Georgia, which would only help a school in that state.
A Listing You May Have Seen On ID.me
An ID.me MemberDeals listing for Georgia Aquarium reads “Teachers Save Over 37%.” The same page repeats “Save Over 37%” for Nurses, First Responders and Alumni too, and its one concrete line is “Up to 2.0% cash back for Nurses.” Georgia Aquarium’s own educator and membership pages say 20% off memberships and don’t mention 37%, so we couldn’t tie that listing to a Georgia Aquarium teacher program and aren’t counting on it.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
Fluz lists 1.5% cashback at Georgia Aquarium with a Fluz virtual card, which means the rate applies when you pay with that card. We didn’t test whether the aquarium’s checkout takes a Fluz card or whether it works on top of the educator savings. We didn’t find a TopCashback page for the aquarium, and Rakuten’s address for it loads a general page instead of a store page.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The aquarium’s visitor information page says it “also offers discounts for educators, and birthday admissions for Georgia residents,” but it gives no rate and no link, and we found no educator ticket anywhere on the tickets page. So we can’t say whether a discounted day ticket exists. Neither educator page states an end date. We also didn’t see what a membership costs after 20% comes off, or whether the 20% applies to a Family Plus Membership, since the offer line names Individual and Family and the limit line also names Family Plus.
