Dermstore gives teachers 15% off specified items, through a Dermstore-branded verification page run by GoCertify. You verify your employment on that page, and it gives you a Dermstore teacher discount code to use online. The page isn’t on dermstore.com: dermstore.com’s footer links to it as “Key Workers Discount.”
If you’re restocking your skin care between report cards, or buying a gift for the colleague who covered your lunch duty, 15% off is worth a few minutes of paperwork. The catch is the list of products it covers, so we’ve laid out where to find it.
How To Get The Dermstore Teacher Discount
Start with the Dermstore teacher page, which you can also reach from the Key Workers Discount link at the bottom of dermstore.com. It reads “Teachers can now benefit from 15% off. Verify your employment to get your Dermstore teacher discount code.” The FAQ page lists what you can use to verify:
- A staff ID badge issued by your school, college or university, showing your name, photo and institution.
- A teaching license or certification, such as a state teaching license (US), a QTS certificate (UK) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A recent payslip from within the last 3 months, showing your name and school, with the salary details covered or blanked out.
- Confirmation using your work email.
- A letter from your school confirming your current employment, on official letterhead.
- A pension document showing your name and school, with the salary details covered.
The FAQ also says that for questions about verification or eligibility, you use the Support button on the page, because the service is run by gocertify.me.
Who Counts As A Teacher
The FAQ is generous about who qualifies. It lists full-time and part-time teachers at any level from early years through secondary or high school, college and university lecturers and professors, teaching assistants and classroom support staff, and supply, substitute and agency teachers. School administrators and support staff such as school counselors and librarians are on the list too.
Homeschool educators registered with a homeschooling body qualify where applicable, and so do retired teachers who have a pension document that mentions their former role of employment.
What The 15% Covers
The discount is on specified items, not everything in the store. The Offer Terms page says exclusions apply and points to a Dermstore list. Dermstore’s exclusions page is headed “Site Wide Inclusions (15% discount or more).” It says all of the products on it are included in its promotion codes, that the list is subject to change at any time, and that anything not on the list is excluded from the code. Check your cart against that page before you count on 15%.
Where The Page Lives
The teacher page sits on GoCertify’s site, under Dermstore’s name, as one of four groups on a Dermstore Essential Worker page: a Healthcare Worker Discount, a Teacher Discount, a Military Discount and a First Responder Discount. dermstore.com’s own homepage doesn’t use the word teacher or educator. Its footer links the program as Key Workers Discount, next to a Student Discount link.
GoCertify’s landing page for Dermstore says “Get up to 22% off at Dermstore with these verified promo codes for the following groups.” That 22% isn’t attached to teachers anywhere we looked. The teacher page says 15%.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The pages we read don’t say how long the code works, whether it’s good for one order or several, or whether it can be used with other offers. They don’t state a country limit either: the FAQ mentions both a US state teaching license and a UK QTS certificate, and says nothing about where you live. Nothing we found gives holiday or Black Friday terms for the teacher code. We didn’t submit anything for verification.
