A zoo is an invaluable way to discover more about animals and their environments, while providing family fun. Many zoos offer teacher discounts to make visits affordable – which may come in the form of discounted admission tickets, food or merchandise prices or reduced teacher appreciation week prices.

San Antonio Zoo is offering Nurses and Teachers free admission through May 14. Teachers simply need to present valid teacher ID at the front gate. On World Teachers’ Day – October 5 – their parking garage will be lit blue and 50% off any day ticket for Texas teachers!

Shake Shack will offer free small shakes to teachers on Tuesday, May 7 when they present their educator ID card, while Sweet Tomatoes is offering one free Box Combo from May 6-10 during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Kansas City Zoo is offering teachers free admission this weekend, May 2 and 3, when they present their school ID at the front gate. In addition, educators can save when buying tickets through its group registration website.

The Phoenix Zoo provides educational activities for adults and children of all ages, including animal photography walksabouts. Additionally, this zoo hosts special needs groups at special events.
