Target is offering teachers a weeklong 15% discount on classroom supplies like wipes and tissues, clothing, shoes and other merchandise through its free Target Circle loyalty program. Eligible educators include K-12 teachers, homeschool teachers, day care and early learning educators, university or college professors and vocational trade or technical schoolteachers with proof of employment. The Target Circle loyalty program makes this discount possible.

Target’s teacher discount runs through July 20, and those using Target’s online verification process to qualify can get a one-time coupon code. Last year’s teacher discount ran for six weeks with larger savings available than this summer’s event. On average, teachers spend approximately $750 of their own funds purchasing classroom supplies according to National Education Association reports.

Target Circle also provides college students with an all-season 20% student discount this year, according to a press release. Target’s offerings this year include back-to-school supplies and apparel as well as snacks, electronics and more for back to school shopping needs.

Target operates over 1,800 stores throughout the United States and Canada, becoming one of the premier retail chains known for all-season low prices and extensive product offerings. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota since 1902 and employing over 100,000 employees – Target has also earned recognition for its charitable giving efforts and business practices.
