Raising Canes, in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week which started May 2, is offering teachers, professors and school staff free meals when they present valid identification. With only offering premium hand-battered chicken fingers served with French Fries and Cole Slaw as an entree option – Raising Canes has garnered quite a following among its educators, professors and school staff.

Northern California will see 10-20 of those restaurants per year; locations in Fairfield and Yuba City among them. The chain currently has 650 locations spread out among 33 states and five countries with 17 in the Inland Empire alone; its unique dipping sauce stands out among its fast-food competitors as does having only one item on their menu, according to their marketing director.
Raising Canes is also giving away 100 $100 gift packages for teachers through Raising Canes’ “100 teachers, $100 packages” contest, which can be used towards supplies or classroom rewards. Applicants were encouraged to submit stories as proof they deserved one; Tyrrell Elementary fifth grade teacher Tiffany Stansbury from Tyrrell Elementary is among them and said the honor meant a lot. “This really means so much because you really do need to be an exceptional educator to receive it,” Stansbury told WJW.
As well as offering educators free box combos this week, other special deals are also being made available across the country. Teachers can enjoy buy one get one free shakes at Hopdoddy Burger Bar on Tuesday and Mooyah Burgers offers them one with valid school ID; finally Crayola Experience Orlando gives free admission for teachers, educational assistants and their families upon presentation of valid school ID or paystubs.
