Phoenix — Arizona’s self-declared “West’s Most Western Town,” Scottsdale, is about to introduce an attraction that’s decidedly more sea than cowboy. OdySea Aquarium will become Arizona’s largest indoor aquarium with two million gallons of water and numerous interactive exhibits and attractions.
Visitors will have an unforgettable journey as they discover a variety of habitats from raindrop to briny shore, vibrant coral reef and ultimately deep into the murky depths. There will be thousands of sea creatures such as jellyfish, fish and sharks for them to encounter while engaging in educational and entertaining activities and events that await.
The aquarium hosts numerous conservation initiatives designed to educate the public and raise awareness of marine ecosystem preservation. They participate in breeding programs for endangered species as well as conducting research to better understand our planet’s ocean environment and human impact on it.
Teachers with valid school ID can receive up to 20% off admission tickets at the aquarium, making saving money easy while visiting with students. Furthermore, special discounts such as senior citizens discounts, group discounts and even free admission during Family Fun Month in September are also offered by the aquarium.
