Green Chef offers verified teachers 55% off the first box, free shipping on that box, and 15% off the next 51 boxes. Green Chef’s own discount page names teachers twice, once in the sign-up steps and once in the FAQ, so you can sign up knowing you’re on the list.
Green Chef delivers meals to your door, and the discount page is built around that subscription. It isn’t a code you paste in. You verify who you are first, and the savings show up on their own at checkout, which is a nice change if you’ve ever hunted for a promo code at 9 p.m. with a stack of papers waiting.
How To Get The Green Chef Teacher Discount
Go to Green Chef’s discount program page. It asks you to choose a verification provider. The page describes ID.me as a trusted platform for students, teachers, military and more, and it labels the second option, GovX, as exclusively for military and first responders. As a teacher, ID.me is your button.
The page lists three steps. In the first, you click Verify with ID.me and provide your information, and the group list there includes teachers. In the second, the page says new and former customers will see their savings automatically at checkout. In the third, you check out with the discount applied.
What The Offer Gives You
The headline on the page is 55% off the first box plus free shipping, followed by 15% off the next 51 boxes. The terms repeat it with one detail added: the free shipping is on the first box. ID.me’s Green Chef page lists the same teacher rate, 55% off the first box plus 15% off the next 51 boxes.
Plan for shipping from the second box onward. ID.me’s restrictions say a shipping fee applies on all deliveries after the first box. The page also says discounts vary for other meal plans and sizes, so the amount you save depends on the plan you choose. We couldn’t confirm a dollar figure for any particular plan, so check the number in your cart.
Who Qualifies
The page’s FAQ answers the eligibility question in plain words: military and veterans, first responders, nurses, medical providers and teachers are eligible. It also asks you to follow the verification instructions above, and it says that if you can’t verify your status, you can email help@id.me. ID.me adds that Green Chef is one of the hundreds of retailers offering special savings for verified Teachers community members through ID.me Shop.
The Fine Print
The discount may only be used for future orders, not previous ones, so verify before you order. It can’t be used with any other Green Chef promotion, and the terms add gift cards to that list. The offer can’t be sold or otherwise bartered, so keep it to yourself and your own account.
The terms say the offer can only be used once, by new customers with a qualifying auto-renewing subscription purchase or by customers whose account was deactivated over a day before redemption. It expires 380 days after offer purchase. It isn’t valid on premiums, add-ons, meal upgrades or taxes, and it’s void outside the U.S. Green Chef also says it has the right to end or modify any offer at any time, so the terms you see when you verify are the ones that count.
