If you teach, Tijuana Flats takes 15% off your whole order when you eat in or pick up at the counter. Just show your school ID in the restaurant. It’s part of the chain’s discount for public servants, and teachers are named right alongside nurses, firefighters, EMTs, military and law enforcement. That’s a real saving on a burrito and chips after a long day, or on a lunch run for your grade-level team.
Tijuana Flats is a fast-casual Tex-Mex chain that started in Winter Park, Florida, and now runs nearly 100 company-owned and franchised restaurants across Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee. The food is made to order, and every restaurant has a Hot Bar of sauces you add yourself. It’s now part of Latitude Food Group, the same company that owns &pizza.
How To Get The Tijuana Flats Teacher Discount
- Go to a Tijuana Flats restaurant. The discount works on dine-in and to-go orders placed in the restaurant.
- Show your school ID or staff badge when you order.
- You get 15% off your entire purchase.
What The Discount Covers
You get 15% off the whole check, one discount per check. It doesn’t work on online, app or delivery orders, so order at the counter. It also doesn’t work on catering, and you can’t combine it with the weekly specials.
A few locations do it differently. In Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, it’s 20% off, but only on Mondays. In Port Charlotte, Bonita Springs and Naples, it’s 10%.
If the 15% doesn’t fit your order, the weekly specials might. Taco Tuesdaze gets you two tacos, chips and a drink for $7.99 on Tuesdays, and Throwback Thursdaze gets you a burrito or bowl, chips and a drink for $8.99 on Thursdays. You can’t stack the teacher discount on either one, so pick whichever saves you more.
Flathead Rewards
Tijuana Flats’ free rewards program, Flathead Rewards, earns you points toward free food. You earn double points every Wednesday, and 30 bonus points when you buy on both Tuesday and Thursday in the same week. Order through the app, or scan the QR code in the app at the register. Catering orders don’t earn points.
Spirit Nights For Your School
If your school or PTA is raising money, Tijuana Flats runs Spirit Night fundraisers. K-12 schools can host one at a local restaurant on a Monday or Wednesday from 4 to 9 PM, and your group gets 20% of the sales from people who order with your event code. The event has to bring in at least $250 in net sales for the school to get a check.
