Grammarly takes 50% off Grammarly Pro for teachers, worth up to $72, verified through SheerID. It is the slowest verification of any program on this site, and there are two conditions on it that decide whether you actually save anything.

Grammarly’s own support page states it directly: “Eligible users can save up to $72 (50% off) on Grammarly Pro through SheerID.”
Two groups are named, and between them they cover the whole profession: K-12 faculty, and university or post-secondary faculty. Unlike most programs in this category, higher education is not shut out.
Apply Before You Need It
This is the practical difference between Grammarly and the rest of the list. Grammarly warns that SheerID “may ask you to provide an official document issued by your organization or institution to verify that your credentials are valid,” and that “this process can take up to seven business days.”
Compare that with the instant checks elsewhere. Adobe verifies teachers on a school email address at the point of purchase. Canva and Samsung both run on the email domain too.
So if you are hoping to have Grammarly Pro running for the start of term or before a grading week, start the verification more than a week ahead. There is no way to shorten it, and Grammarly notes it “does not have any control over the verification process.”
Two Conditions Worth Knowing
Do not subscribe through a phone app. Grammarly’s terms exclude “purchases made via the App Store or Google Play Store”, so an in-app subscription cannot take the discount. Upgrade on the web instead.
It covers one subscription period. The discount is “valid for one subscription period only”, so this is a first-term price rather than a permanent rate, in the same shape as Adobe’s first-year pricing. Note when your renewal lands and decide then rather than being surprised by it.
The Useful Detail Nobody Prints
Once you are approved, SheerID emails a promo link, and Grammarly says: “You can use the promo link to upgrade with your preferred email address, regardless of the email address you used to apply for this promotional offer.”
That solves a problem plenty of teachers hit. You can verify with your school address, which is what SheerID wants to see, and then apply the discount to the personal Grammarly account you actually write in. Your work never has to move to a school account, and the discount does not vanish when you change schools.
