The Florida Aquarium doesn’t offer a teacher discount. Its admissions FAQ asks the question directly, do you offer a discount for teachers, and answers: we do not currently offer an educator discount. Where a teacher can pay less is a class field trip, where the aquarium lists a rate per student and counts teachers in the chaperone ratio.
If you’re hoping to bring your own kids on a Saturday, there isn’t a ticket we could find with your name on it, and we’d rather tell you that before you stand at the window with a school ID in your hand. How To Get The Florida Aquarium Teacher Discount
There isn’t one to claim, so there’s no ID to bring and no form to fill out. The same FAQ has two more answers worth knowing if you’re buying your own ticket. If you’re active or retired military, present a valid military ID in person at the ticket windows to receive 10% off your entire order. And it says the aquarium does not currently offer a Florida resident discount, so living in the state doesn’t change the price either.

Class Field Trips
The Book a Field Trip page describes a self-guided visit for classes, and it comes with ground rules. Reservations are required, field trips are available Monday through Friday only, and the page lists 10 students minimum for discounted rates. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due 3 business days after the reservation is made, and memberships aren’t valid for field trip admission, so a membership you hold won’t cover your class.
The page lists a general group student rate of $14 per student. Schools in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Manatee and Polk Counties that qualify as Title I are listed at $7 per student. The page says its pricing is valid only for the current school year, so check it for this year’s numbers before you budget.
On chaperones, the page requires one for every 10 youth (1:10) and permits one for every 5 (1:5). It says teachers are counted in that ratio, so you count as one of the chaperones. If your chaperones go past 1:5, the page lists an individual fee of $30 per adult.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
We looked for the Florida Aquarium on Fluz and TopCashback and found no page on either. Rakuten’s address for it loads a general page instead of a store page. That leaves us with no cash back rate to report, and we’d rather say that than guess at one.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The aquarium’s news page described a promotion in which eligible teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, government employees and active-duty military members could receive complimentary general admission with the purchase of one general admission. It was for guests living in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Citrus or Hernando counties, who had to provide a valid employee ID and proof of residency at the ticket window. Its deadline has passed. We couldn’t tell whether the aquarium runs it again, and the FAQ still says there isn’t an educator discount, so check the news page and the FAQ before a visit.
We also couldn’t see what a class trip adds up to in total, since the page lists rates per student and a fee per extra adult, but not a worked example.
