Eyeconic has a teacher discount that covers the whole shopping list: 10% off eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses. You verify on Eyeconic’s own site, and it’s worth knowing that up front, because the usual teacher-verification service people expect here isn’t the one involved.
Eyeconic is an online store for glasses, sunglasses and contacts, and its site describes it as a VSP Vision company. Much of its promotions page is built around vision insurance, with perks for VSP and MetLife members, so the teacher offer is easy to scroll past. It sits in a section of its own and is open to several groups, not just teachers.
How To Get The Eyeconic Teacher Discount
Eyeconic’s promotions page says seniors, students, teachers, first responders and military personnel get 10% off eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, and tells you to verify your information to see if you qualify. Open the Eyeconic promotions page, find the 10% offer, and use its Verify Me button. We saw no mention of ID.me on that page, and ID.me’s own page for Eyeconic says it isn’t aware that Eyeconic offers Teachers discounts, so you won’t be starting from ID.me this time.
Once your status checks out, shop the way you normally would. Look at the cart total before you pay to make sure the 10% shows up.
The Fine Print
Eyeconic lists its terms on the same page, and a few of them change how you shop. The offer cannot be combined with other site offers, so a sale or a promo code and the 10% are an either-or. The discount doesn’t cover taxes, shipping or other fees. It isn’t valid for prior orders or purchases, so verify before you buy, not after. It’s available on Eyeconic’s online store in the US only. Items bought through the promotion are not for resale and can’t be transferred or redeemed as cash or gift cards.
Eyeconic also reserves the right to modify or discontinue offers at any time, which is a good reason to check the page again before a big order instead of working from memory.
If You’re Buying Contacts
The 10% names contact lenses, which makes it useful if you reorder them. Eyeconic’s site says a contacts prescription is required to buy contacts, so have yours ready. We couldn’t find a line explaining how this offer works with the annual-supply savings Eyeconic advertises, and since the terms rule out combining it with other site offers, assume you pick one and compare the totals.
The Cash Back ID.me Lists
ID.me’s Eyeconic store page lists up to 1.5% cash back, which is open to anyone with an ID.me account and isn’t the teacher discount. ID.me notes that using coupons and promotional codes not on ID.me may void it. We didn’t find Eyeconic saying whether that cash back can be combined with its own 10% offer, so don’t count on getting both.
