Clothes Mentor doesn’t have a teacher discount that we could confirm. There’s no educator offer on its website and no teacher listing on ID.me, and it isn’t on Rakuten, TopCashback or Fluz for cash back. What every shopper can use is Club CM, its free rewards program: one point per dollar, and a $10 certificate once you reach 250 points.
Clothes Mentor is a resale chain for women’s clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories in sizes 0 to 26. It buys gently used pieces from people in its community, pays cash on the spot, and prices most items at about a third of the original retail price, up to 70% off. It’s based in Plymouth, Minnesota, and has more than 130 stores across the U.S., each one locally owned.
How To Get The Clothes Mentor Teacher Discount
There isn’t a chain-wide teacher discount to claim. Because every store is locally owned, it’s worth asking at the register whether your store runs anything for teachers, but don’t count on it. The savings you can count on are the low resale prices and Club CM.
Here’s how Club CM works:
- Ask an associate to sign you up at checkout, or join in the Clothes Mentor app. It’s free.
- You earn one style point for every dollar you spend, in store or online.
- At 250 points you get a $10 off reward certificate for a later purchase.
- Members also get a special offer during their birthday month.
If you order online, use the same phone number or email as your in-store account so the points land in one place.
Selling Your Clothes To Clothes Mentor
For a teacher refreshing a work wardrobe, the other way to save is to sell what you no longer wear. Clothes Mentor buys women’s clothing in sizes 0 to 26, plus shoes, handbags, accessories and designer pieces, and it pays cash for what it takes. Bring items freshly laundered, off hangers, in a basket or bin. What a store buys depends on its own stock, so a cardigan one store passes on might sell at another.
That cash can go straight back into a few pieces for the classroom: a blazer for parent conferences or comfortable shoes for a day on your feet, at resale prices.

Each Clothes Mentor store is locally owned, so one store can’t ship items from another. If you’re after new clothes with a real teacher rate, our clothing discounts for teachers cover stores that give educators a percentage off.
