Cleveland Metroparks Zoo (CMZ) is one of the premier year-round attractions in Northeast Ohio and attracts over one million visitors each year. Spread across 183 acres, this zoological park features Australia Adventure, African Savanna, Northern Wilderness Trek, Primate Cat Aquatics Waterfowl Lake Rainforest & Asian Highlands sections to keep guests busy exploring CMZ!

Visitors will see exotic animals in habitats that recreate their natural living environments, while there are interactive opportunities like Ben Gogolick Giraffe Encounter and 4-D Theater available at the zoo.

Visitors can ride the Boomerang Line train or the Circle of Wildlife Carousel crafted by Mansfield-based Carousel Works; each ride features 64 hand-carved animals made by Mansfield artisans. Children under three years old receive free admission while educational facilities and gift shop have also been updated to better accommodate families with young children.

CMZ has also taken steps to enhance its animal collections, welcoming two new arrivals: Zaki the baby orangutan and Axel the polar bear cub. Furthermore, recently opening its Rainforest exhibit which showcases over 600 animals from Asia, Africa and American jungles is another way of expanding this effort.

Military and first responder personnel receive $5 off adult and child admission. To take advantage of this offer, show a valid military or first responder ID at any ticketing window.
