Teachers can get special discounted admission to this world-famous museum by showing an Illinois Teaching ID card. Additional discounts are also available to active military, families who qualify for state food assistance and more.

Teachers from Illinois PreK-12th grades will get free basic admission with a valid teacher ID – this offer cannot be purchased online and must be used in-person. Active military personnel and families qualifying for state food assistance will receive complimentary basic admission upon presenting a military ID or an EBT (Link) or WIC card respectively; EBT cardholders or WIC recipients qualify for discounted admission prices of $3 per person up to six people.

Discounts are also available at this renowned museum, including Illinois resident discounts on ticket prices year-round and Chicago CityPass holders can save 50% off general admission to both Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium on Museum Campus as well as to the Field Museum itself.

If you want the cheapest way to visit this top attraction, a Go Chicago Card or Chicago Explorer Pass might be just what you need.
