TT: Educators who take their students on field trips frequently report that their kids learn in new and unexpected ways outside the classroom. For instance, teachers see students who keep to themselves come out when visiting Museum galleries and asking questions during programs or games at the Museum – this shows they are actively engaged with their learning process and wish to apply what they know in other environments. This is fantastic and shows they are engaged with what they are studying!

The Museum of Science partners with Kahoot! to give educators a way to engage their students in fun and engaging Museum-themed kahoots that reinforce concepts they have covered in class. Teachers can utilize this tool for reinforcing concepts they have taught during classroom time.

MA teachers (K-12) with valid school ID or EBT cards and up to five guests may enter free of charge, with an option available with Boston CityPASS that grants discounted admission to four other attractions.

Teachers also qualify for additional discounts through various organizations and programs, including free or reduced admission for active duty military and their families through the National Endowment for the Arts Blue Star Museums program, and discounts at JOANN Fabric, Michael’s, Blick Art Supplies (up to 40% savings off classroom supplies!) and The Container Store – these teacher discounts cover both purchases made with educator ID cards as well as storage/organization products purchased on them.
