What Aveda does offer everyone is free standard shipping with $55 orders, and its sale page says you receive 15% off when you join its email list: 15% off a first purchase of $10 or more, for first-time buyers only.
Cash back is the route we’d use. Rakuten’s Aveda page shows 8% Cash Back with “was 2%” beside it, so check the number on the page the day you shop. Rakuten also says Cash Back isn’t available on the purchase of gift cards, so a gift card for a coworker won’t earn Cash Back there.

Rakuten shows the highest number of the three at 8%. TopCashback’s Aveda page says you get 1% of the price back, and its terms exclude purchases of gift cards and e-gift cards. Fluz’s Aveda page lists 1.5% cashback at Aveda with a Fluz virtual card.
TopCashback’s terms also exclude the use of welcome coupon codes sent from Aveda. That matters if you sign up for Aveda’s emails to get 15% off a first purchase: on TopCashback, you’d have to pick between the welcome code and the cash back.
What Aveda’s Sale Page Says About Cash Back
The disclaimer on Aveda’s sale page for its best-seller discount says the discount may not be used in combination with third party loyalty, reward or cash-back programs. It also says the offer may not be used in combination with any other offer or discount, and that it’s available to U.S. residents only on Aveda.com, at Aveda retail stores and select salons.
Read that as written: on sale items, a cash back site and the sale price may not go together. Check the disclaimer under whichever sale you’re shopping before you click through a cash back link.
Other Ways To Save At Aveda
Aveda’s FAQ says auto-replenishment gets 15% off your first order and 10% off all future orders. Aveda’s promotions page says joining Aveda Plus Rewards costs a one-time $10 enrollment fee, so run the numbers before you join for a single gift order.
The 20% SheerID Mention
SheerID’s back-to-school press release lists Aveda with the line “Teachers get 20% off at Aveda.” The press release is a few years old, and Aveda’s own promotions page doesn’t mention teachers. We aren’t counting on that 20%, and if you find a teacher option at Aveda’s checkout, check its terms against any cash back you plan to use.
