Banana Republic doesn’t list a teacher discount. We read its Rewards page and its Customer Service page, along with the Banana Republic Factory help page, and none of them mention teachers or educators. What we could confirm is cash back: TopCashback lists 4% at Banana Republic and 4% at Banana Republic Factory, and Rakuten lists 2% at Banana Republic.
If you’re buying a blazer for parent conferences, or picking out a gift for a colleague, there’s no teacher rate to apply here, so cash back is the saving we can point you to. Each portal below has its own exclusions, and the Factory and the full-price site aren’t treated the same way.
How To Get The Banana Republic Teacher Discount
There isn’t a Banana Republic teacher discount to claim. The nearest thing we found is in the fine print of the account-opening offer on the Rewards page, which says discounts cannot be combined with a Brand Ambassador, student or Gap Inc. employee discount, but can be combined with other eligible offers in a single transaction. Teachers aren’t named there, and the page doesn’t mention educators at all.
The button below goes to TopCashback, whose Banana Republic page says: Get 4% of the price back with our Banana Republic Cash Back offers. That page says purchases must be completed immediately and fully online to be eligible, so it covers online orders and not a trip to the store.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
TopCashback, Banana Republic. The 4% above is for the full-price site. The page lists purchases from Banana Republic Factory and Gap Factory as excluded, along with purchases of art, rugs and gift cards. It also says Cash Back rates are subject to change, both up and down, so read the number on the page before you check out.
TopCashback, Banana Republic Factory. The Factory has its own TopCashback page, which says: Get 4% of the price back with our Banana Republic Factory Cash Back offers. Its exclusions list the purchase or redemption of a Banana Republic Factory gift card or Stored Value Card transactions.
Rakuten. The Banana Republic page on Rakuten is titled Banana Republic Coupons, Promo Codes & 2% Cash Back. Its terms say Cash Back is not available on the purchase or redemption of gift cards or on the part of an order paid for with reward points, and not on items from the Peter Do Collection or Banana Republic Home. Rakuten’s address for the Factory loads a general page instead of a store page.
Fluz. The Fluz page lists Banana Republic gift cards with 8% cashback. We didn’t find a Fluz page for Banana Republic Factory, and TopCashback and Rakuten both exclude gift card purchases, so this route is a different thing from the store cash back above.
The Free Rewards Program
The Rewards page’s fine print lists Free to Join among the program details. It says free shipping requires being signed into your online account and is valid for online offers totaling at least $50 after discounts and before taxes shipped anywhere in the U.S., including Puerto Rico. That’s open to any shopper who joins, not a teacher perk, but if you’re ordering school clothes online anyway it’s worth knowing about before you pay for shipping.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
Some of Banana Republic’s help answers, including the ones about promo codes and the Factory’s rewards program, didn’t load for us, so we can’t rule out a teacher offer mentioned only there. We also can’t say whether a store will honor a teacher ID in person, because the pages we read say nothing either way. And we didn’t check where a Banana Republic gift card bought through Fluz can be used, including whether it works at the Factory.
