Alex and Ani lists a 15% discount through GovX ID, and it never says who the discount is for. GovX does the naming: its listing for Alex and Ani has an Education badge, and its support article says the Education group includes teachers.
If there’s a charm bangle on your list and you’d like a little off it, read this before you start. Alex and Ani doesn’t say who qualifies, and GovX’s pages don’t fully agree about teachers, so here’s what each one says.
How To Get The Alex and Ani Teacher Discount
Alex and Ani’s promotions page says, “To thank you for your service, we’ve partnered with GOVX ID to offer a discount on our store.” Its footer link is labeled “GOVX ID 15% Discount,” and the GovX ID discount page carries the same label. Neither page names a group that qualifies. The only teacher wording on them is two menu links, Teacher Appreciation and Gifts for Teachers, and neither page ties those links to the GovX discount.
The discount runs through GovX ID. GovX’s who’s-eligible page says that when you join GovX you automatically get a GovX ID, and it has a Create My Free Account button. We couldn’t open the verification step on Alex and Ani’s site, so we haven’t seen which groups it asks you to choose from or what it hands you at checkout.
What GovX Says About Teachers
GovX’s listing for Alex and Ani says “Save up to 15%” and shows a row of badges under “Eligible groups:” for Military, Law Enforcement, First Responder, Medical, Government and Education. Alex and Ani’s footer says 15% and GovX says up to 15%, so check the amount you’re shown before you buy.
GovX’s support article on verified groups says, “The Education group includes teachers and administrators at both public and private K-12 schools and colleges/universities.” By GovX’s own definition, then, teachers sit inside the Education group that the listing shows.
Where The GovX Pages Don’t Line Up
The who’s-eligible page lists six groups: Military, Law Enforcement, Fire, Medical Workers, Military Families and Government Employees. It doesn’t mention teachers, educators or schools. The line across the top of the Alex and Ani listing reads “Exclusive discounts for current and former military, first responders and law enforcement.”
That’s why we’re not telling you flatly that a teacher gets the discount at checkout. The badge and the support article point to teachers. The who’s-eligible page and the line across the top of the listing leave them out. The eligibility page describes Government Employees as full-time employees at federal, state and local government agencies, and we couldn’t tell whether GovX counts school district staff there.
Combining It With Other Offers
Alex and Ani’s promotions page prints “Cannot be combined with other discounts, offers, or promotions unless otherwise noted” under several of its other offers, and it prints nothing like that beside the GovX line. We can’t tell you whether the GovX discount works on top of a sale.
Cash Back
Fluz’s Alex and Ani page is titled “1.5% cashback at Alex and Ani” and says, “Get 1.5% cashback at Alex and Ani with a Fluz virtual card.” That’s a cash back offer, not a teacher discount, and Fluz adds, “Offers are subject to change – check here before purchasing.” We couldn’t tell whether it works alongside a GovX discount. We didn’t find a Rakuten page or a TopCashback page for Alex and Ani.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
We couldn’t read the GovX verification step on Alex and Ani’s site, so we haven’t seen which groups it offers or whether a teacher gets through it. We didn’t create a GovX account or place an order. Alex and Ani’s pages don’t say who qualifies, and GovX’s own pages don’t agree about teachers, so Alex and Ani’s customer service is the place to settle it before you buy.
