Wachusett Mountain doesn’t have a teacher discount that we could confirm, but teachers do show up in one of its programs. How To Get The Wachusett Mountain Teacher Discount
There isn’t a teacher rate to claim that we could verify. Wachusett’s lift ticket page lists rates for the 26/27 season as coming soon and has no teacher, educator or faculty offer on it, and the season pass page has none either. The closest thing is the School Groups program, so the button below goes to that page, where registration happens.
How The School Groups Program Works
The page lists students in grades 3 and up, plus teachers and parents of those students. Family members are only eligible if they take part through a Recreation Department or YMCA program. To order online you need an access code, and the page says it has to come from your school coordinator. Registration starts when you log in or create a Wachusett account.
Lessons are required for beginners, and lesson spots are limited. Rental packages for skis or a snowboard are available for the program or the full season, and students who bring their own gear should mark it with name, school and phone number. The school coordinator arranges transportation to the ski area.
If you’re the coordinator, the Student Coordinator Center has the forms. Its incentive request form asks you to pick the season pass you earned, with Bronze, Silver and Gold as the choices, and the pass is picked up at the Group Sales Counter. The 26/27 Coordinator Manual lists how many members each level takes and covers chaperones and the guest rates for extra adults who ride with you. The 26/27 Student Flyer has the program prices. We read both and found no separate teacher price in either.
Other Ways Teachers Can Use Wachusett
The Group Trips page defines a group as 15 people or more, 6 years and older. Its group leader bonus is a complimentary lift ticket, and a rental if needed, for every 15 lift tickets purchased, plus a $20 COW Card with 15 or more. A COW Card is Wachusett’s gift card. Discount ski and snowboard rentals are available to groups too. If you’re planning a staff outing or a ski club trip, that’s the page to read. Reservations for the 26/27 season are listed as opening this fall, and deposits are non-refundable.
Science on the Slopes is a field trip program for schools. Its request page says field trip bookings are free, with add on items available for a fee, and that Wachusett’s policy requires a student teacher ratio of 8:1. A member of the team gets back to you within 2 weeks of a request, and the resource materials cover earth science, physical science, life science, engineering and technology, and health and wellness. It’s a classroom trip rather than a ski day, and the page addresses its resource list to teachers and chaperones.
If your school cancels and the mountain is open, students can come in on their own for 50% off lift and rental purchases when they show their Student Badge at Customer Service. That one is for the students, not for you.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
We looked for a Wachusett page on Fluz, TopCashback and Rakuten and found none on any of them. Each check ran alongside a Target page that did load on the same site, so the gap is on the cash back side. Wachusett also says its website is the only authorized seller of tickets, which fits with there being no outside route to point you to.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
We found no teacher or educator rate on Wachusett’s lift ticket or season pass pages, and its own site search for those words turns up only the School Groups page and the Science on the Slopes pages. So we can’t say no program exists, only that we found none. Rates for the 26/27 season were still marked coming soon, so we couldn’t compare a single price. We also couldn’t tell whether a teacher can join the school program without a school coordinator handing over the access code.
Two pages still carry older details. The mutual agreement page says the missed-session voucher may only be used through 12/24/25, and the field trip request form asks for a date after one in 2023. The Group Sales Office number on the Group Trips page is 978-464-2300 ext. 3550, and it’s worth asking there which details are current. Any answer is worth getting in writing before you plan around it.
