Hulu doesn’t have a teacher discount that we could find. The discount on Hulu’s own pages is a student bundle at $6.49 per month, and it’s for people enrolled at a college. What we could confirm for teachers is cash back: Fluz lists 7.5% on Hulu gift cards, Rakuten lists $1 on a first paid subscription, and TopCashback has a Hulu page.
An older version of this post said teachers verify through SheerID and get a one-time code. We couldn’t find that anywhere on Hulu’s pages, so it’s gone. Below is what Hulu and each cash back site actually say, including the live TV plan, which used to have its own post.
How To Get The Hulu Teacher Discount
There’s no teacher rate to claim. ID.me’s Hulu page reads “We are not aware of Hulu offering Teachers community discounts,” and we found no teacher or educator wording on Hulu’s student page, its welcome page or its live TV page.
The one discount Hulu runs is for students. Its student page offers the ad-supported Disney+, Hulu bundle at $6.49 per month, then $12.99 per month, so long as student enrollment status remains verified. You verify with SheerID by giving your school name and email address, and the terms say the offer is for students enrolled at a U.S. university or post-secondary degree or certificate-granting, accredited institution. A teacher who isn’t also enrolled in a program isn’t covered by it.
That leaves cash back as the route we could confirm. Fluz lists the highest rate of the three, so the button below goes there. The next sections explain what each one covers and what we couldn’t check.
What The Cash Back Sources Say
Fluz. The Fluz Hulu page is titled “Hulu gift cards with 7.5% cashback” and sells Hulu e-gift cards. Hulu has a Redeem Gift Card page. We didn’t buy a card or redeem one, so we can’t say whether a gift card pays for every Hulu plan, including live TV, or how the 7.5% shows up.
Rakuten. The Rakuten Hulu page is titled “Hulu Coupons, Promo Codes & $1 Cash Back.” Its terms say cash back is not available on the purchase or redemption of gift cards or on free trial sign-ups, and that it’s only available on first-time paid subscriptions. So it’s a one-time $1 for a new paid subscriber, and it doesn’t stack with Fluz gift cards.
TopCashback. There’s a Hulu page on TopCashback. We’re not quoting a rate from it.
What About Hulu + Live TV?
Hulu’s live TV page lists a deal for Hulu (With Ads) + Live TV: $49.99 for the first month, then $99.99 per month. The page says it ends at 9:00 AM PT on 10/26/26. It’s open to everyone, not just teachers, and we found no teacher pricing for live TV, so it isn’t a separate teacher offer. Rakuten has no separate Hulu Live TV store page, and Fluz and TopCashback have none either.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
We didn’t subscribe, so we can’t say how a gift card balance looks on a Hulu bill. Hulu may run a school or district program that its public pages don’t mention, and a message to Hulu support is the way to ask.
