Nordstrom Rack doesn’t list a discount for teachers. Its Nordy Club page and its FAQ have no teacher or educator wording in them, so we aren’t going to tell you there’s a code to hunt for. What we did find is cash back: Fluz lists 7.5% cashback on Nordstrom Rack gift cards, and Rakuten’s Nordstrom Rack page lists 2% cash back.
If you’re buying work clothes for the school week, or picking out gifts for the teachers on your team, the Rack is a reasonable place to look, since its own FAQ calls it a destination for brands you love up to 70% off. Here’s what sits on top of those prices, and what doesn’t.
How To Get The Nordstrom Rack Teacher Discount
There isn’t a teacher discount to claim here, and no verification step to go through, because Nordstrom Rack’s pages don’t describe one. The two routes we can stand behind are its free Nordy Club and cash back. On the cash back side, Fluz lists Nordstrom Rack gift cards with 7.5% cashback, and the page says the e-gift cards are available from $25 to $500 and can be redeemed in-store and online. The button below goes to Fluz.
What Nordstrom Rack Gives Every Shopper
The Nordy Club page says joining is easy and free. Members get a birthday perk, listed as $10 off during your birthday month, for one-time use at Nordstrom Rack stores, NordstromRack.com or Nordstrom.com. The page also says members get seasonal offers, exclusive discounts, early access to sales and private flash events in the Nordstrom Rack app.
Cardmembers get an extra 5% off. The footnote says that 5% is only available to Nordy Club cardmembers paying with their Nordstrom credit card, on qualifying purchases made online at NordstromRack.com and in Nordstrom Rack stores, and it leaves out taxes and fees. You have to use the card at checkout, and Apple Pay, PayPal and Afterpay don’t count, even if your Nordstrom credit card is linked to them. That’s a credit card offer, so we mention it only so you know where the 5% comes from.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
Fluz lists 7.5% cashback on Nordstrom Rack gift cards. Rakuten lists 2% cash back on its Nordstrom Rack page, with a list of exclusions: cash back isn’t available on the purchase of gift cards, Free People and Free People Movement, Coach, Rainbow, Chanel and Birkenstock. TopCashback has a Nordstrom Rack page too, but we couldn’t read a rate off it, so we aren’t quoting one. Rates change, so check the number on the page you click through to before you pay.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
We read Nordstrom Rack’s online pages and didn’t call a store, so we can’t say what an individual store does at the register for someone showing a school ID. The pages we read don’t say whether a gift card bought through Fluz can be used together with the birthday perk or the card discount, and we didn’t place an order, so we can’t tell you how the cashback is credited.
