Dave & Buster’s doesn’t list a discount for individual teachers, and everything here comes from its U.S. pages, so it applies to U.S. locations. What its pages offer teachers is school business: a fundraiser program, private rooms with no rental fees on weeknights, and a field-trip curriculum called Play Academy, all arranged through a local planner.
If you’re planning something for your class or school, those programs are where teachers come into it. If you’re after a night out for yourself, the offers open to everyone are further down, along with a cash back route through Fluz.
How To Get The Dave & Buster’s Teacher Discount
There isn’t a teacher discount to apply for. The schools page opens with “Host your next school event at D&B!” and says the space is the place for everything from field trips to end of year banquets and PTO fundraisers. The page’s button is “Contact a Planner,” so the first step is a conversation with your local store.
School Fundraisers And Private Rooms
For a PTO fundraiser, the schools page says your supporters get $10 or $20 Power Cards and you earn 50% of whatever you sell. A fundraiser night earns 20% of the total sales and is available on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday nights, which the page says to check with your planner. The same page lists private rooms with A/V capabilities and no rental fees Monday through Thursday.
Play Academy Field Trips
The Play Academy page calls it a “STEAM accredited, educator backed, student approved field trip” and speaks to teachers directly: “And teachers, this is your ultimate win-win: a grade A trip the students will love.” It tells you to contact your local planner for more information, and it shows no price or percent off, so the planner is also where you’ll learn what a group costs.
Shopping On Your Own
The specials page lists half price games every Wednesday and Sunday, and none of its offers name teachers. It also lists a Military & First Responders discount of 15% off food and drinks with a valid military or first responder ID, which is for the ID holder and up to 4 guests and applies to food and non-alcoholic beverages only. Teachers aren’t named in it, so it isn’t one to count on without asking your store.
The D&B Rewards page says you earn 1 bonus game chip for each $1 spent on food and beverage, up to $50 per day, and that joining gets you 100 free game chips with a 100 game chip purchase.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
Fluz’s Dave & Buster’s page says buying a gift card earns 10.5% cashback, with e-gift cards available from $10 to $500 and redeemable in-store and online. Rates change, so check the percentage on Fluz before you buy. Rakuten’s address for Dave & Buster’s loads its general page, titled “Rakuten: Shop. Get Cash Back. Repeat.” instead of a store page, and we didn’t find a TopCashback store page for it.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The specials, FAQ and rewards pages don’t mention teachers or educators, so we found nothing that gives an individual teacher a personal discount. The schools and Play Academy pages give no group price, and we couldn’t tell which locations run each special. We didn’t buy a Fluz gift card, so we can’t say how it works at the table.
