Camelback Resort in the Poconos gives teachers up to 15% off a stay, and the discount is for the lodging, not the lift ticket. Its page lists teachers among the groups it offers discounts to, and says you have to be verified through GovX before you book. If your winter plan is a night or two at a mountain resort, this is the part of the trip it can lower.

The ski side is a different story. The page puts “Ski & Ride” and the other activities in a section for military personnel and first responders, so teachers shouldn’t count on a lift ticket discount from this page.

How To Get The Camelback Resort Teacher Discount

Open Camelback’s military and first responder discounts page and find the Teacher block under the lodging discount. Click its Get Verified button. The page says “To get lodging and adventure discounts, you must be verified through GOVX,” and that verification is required before booking, so do it before you pick dates.

When you arrive, the page says to provide a valid ID at guest services or at check-in. It says the lodging discount is available for all room types.

What The Discount Covers

The heading over the lodging block reads “UP TO 15% OFF,” so 15% is the ceiling, not a flat rate. The page says the discounts extend to you and up to three dependents, which is the line a family weekend depends on. A separate specials page says the same thing in shorter form: up to 15% off overnight stays, plus discounts on activities via GovX.

That second sentence is where the two pages disagree. The specials page mentions activity discounts without naming a group, while the military page restricts the activities section to military personnel and first responders. We’ve gone with the military page, because it’s the more specific of the two.

What We Couldn’t Confirm

The page doesn’t print a season or date range for the lodging discount, and it doesn’t say which nights or room types carry the full 15% instead of less. It doesn’t say what happens at a holiday weekend, what the teacher verification asks for, or whether the discount stacks with a package. Ask the resort before you book if your dates are a school break week. The page also lists Camelback Mountain’s trails and night skiing, with the military and first responder discount button beside them, and says nothing about a teacher lift ticket rate.
