Our Place gives verified teachers a discount through ID.me, and it applies automatically at checkout on eligible orders of $100 or more. Our Place’s own ID.me page doesn’t state a percentage. ID.me’s Our Place store page lists 10% off for teachers with a $100 purchase minimum, so we’re giving that as ID.me’s figure, not as one Our Place states itself.
If a pan or a set of plates is on your holiday list, or you’re shopping for a colleague, the $100 minimum is the part to plan around, since an order under $100 doesn’t get the discount. Our Place’s menu lists cookware, bakeware, appliances, tableware and kitchen tools. We’ve kept this post to what its page says and marked what comes only from ID.me.
How To Get The Our Place Teacher Discount
Our Place’s page lists Teacher among the groups you can verify as. It tells new users to head to ID.me to sign up, and says you’ll only need to do that once. After that, the instruction is to verify your ID.me account on Our Place’s page, and to do it on every visit. So if you close the tab and come back tomorrow, verify again before you shop.
Once you’re verified, the page says your discount automatically applies at checkout on eligible orders of $100 or more. The page describes the discount applying on its own and doesn’t describe a code to enter. If you don’t see the discount at checkout, the first thing to check is whether you verified during the same visit.
Who Qualifies
The page says military members, nurses, medical providers, first responders, teachers and students who are verified through ID.me are eligible for discounts. It says “teachers” and doesn’t define the word. K-12, pre-K, college, homeschool, retired and support staff aren’t named, so if you’re not a classroom teacher, check with ID.me or Our Place before you count on it.
ID.me’s Our Place teacher page says Our Place has a Teachers discount and/or cash back offer.
Terms To Know
A minimum order of $100 is required to redeem the discount. It can’t be combined with other offers, and it doesn’t apply toward the purchase of gift cards. It’s one discount per customer, it isn’t transferable, and it isn’t valid on previous purchases or redeemable for cash.
The page also says the offer isn’t valid outside the US, that the discount may be terminated or restricted at any time, and that it may be subject to additional exclusions or restrictions. The last point means it’s worth reading your cart and checkout screen before you assume a particular item counts.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The rate is the main gap. Our Place’s page confirms teachers can verify and get a discount, but it doesn’t say how much. The 10% comes from ID.me’s store page, so check the amount at checkout before you build a purchase around it.
We also couldn’t find how long the offer runs. The page says all codes are valid for a limited and specified time only, as indicated in the applicable advertisement, and it shows no dates or holiday terms. It describes the program as limited-time offers for eligible ID.me customers.
Canada is unclear. The page says verified teachers and others in the US and Canada are eligible, but its terms say “Not valid outside the US,” and Our Place’s Canadian page carries the same line. Only the US is clearly covered. We didn’t verify through ID.me or place an order, so we can’t show you a checkout price.
