GenealogyBank doesn’t have a teacher discount that we could find, and we didn’t find a cash back route for it either. What it does have is a free trial, so you can see whether its newspapers cover your family before you pay for anything.

GenealogyBank is built around old newspapers, and a teacher who wants to show a class what a hometown paper from long ago looked like, or who is chasing an ancestor’s obituary, is the person it’s made for. Its home page describes the archive as running from 1690 to today.

How To Get The GenealogyBank Teacher Discount

There isn’t a teacher rate to claim. GenealogyBank’s home page has no teacher, educator, school or discount wording in our read of it, and the education page address we tried returns a not-found page. We didn’t find a teacher program on the site.

The one way to pay less than full price that the page offers is the free trial. It says you can find generations of your family and their stories with a free trial, and the Get Started Now button on the page is where that begins. We’re not linking a cash back button here, because we didn’t find one to link.

What The Archive Covers

The home page lists over 16,000 big city and small town newspapers and 326+ million obituaries. It also says you get free access to the Social Security Death Index, and that its census records let you find relatives, including the children and siblings of your ancestors.

If you’re deciding whether the trial is worth starting, those are the collections to test with. Search for a name you already know and see what comes back.

Cash Back Routes We Checked

We looked for GenealogyBank on Fluz and TopCashback and found no page on either. Rakuten’s address for it loads a general page instead of a store page. That means we have no cash back rate to report, and we’d rather say so than guess at one.

What We Couldn’t Confirm

We didn’t start the trial, so we can’t tell you what a subscription costs or whether it asks for a card up front. GenealogyBank may give teachers something that isn’t on its home page, and a quick message to the company is the way to find out.

The details above come from GenealogyBank, Fluz, TopCashback and Rakuten as their pages loaded when we checked, and they change without notice. Nothing here claims a teacher discount that GenealogyBank hasn’t published. See more entertainment discounts for teachers.
