Merrell gives teachers 15% to 20% off through ID.me, and ID.me’s own listing for the shoe maker shows both numbers. Its group list says 15% off for teachers, and a separate line says 20% off for teachers with ID.me verification at checkout. We couldn’t find a Merrell page that describes the teacher offer, so we can’t tell you which number is the standing rate and which is a promotion. What ID.me does say is clear on one point: the discount is only available directly through Merrell.com.
If your hiking boots or trail shoes are worn down, it’s worth the minute it takes to verify, and then comparing the price you see with what you were about to pay.
How To Get The Merrell Teacher Discount
It runs through ID.me. The ID.me page for Merrell US says Merrell US has a Teachers discount and/or cash back offer, and its store page lists 15% off for teachers, along with the same 15% for military, nurses, first responders, medical providers and students, and 20% for hospital employees. A separate line on that page reads “20% off for Teachers with ID.me Verification at Checkout.”
The line about verification at checkout tells you where the step happens. You shop on Merrell.com, and when you’re ready to pay you choose to verify with ID.me and sign in or create your account. Because we couldn’t find a Merrell page explaining the process, we can’t say whether the discount applies automatically or arrives as a code, so watch for a prompt in the cart.
What It Doesn’t Cover
ID.me’s only stated restriction is that discounts are only available directly through Merrell.com. That rules out other shoe retailers and marketplaces that carry Merrell. Nothing on ID.me’s page says whether the discount applies to sale items, whether it combines with the other promotions it lists for Merrell, or whether there’s a cap, so treat those as open questions.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The big gap is the rate. ID.me shows 15% in its group list and 20% in a line that mentions teachers specifically, and neither is explained. Merrell’s site didn’t return a page for the program when we searched for it, so we couldn’t check ID.me’s figures against the company’s. We didn’t verify through ID.me or place an order. The price in your cart is the one to trust. If it shows 15%, that matches ID.me’s group list, and if it shows 20%, that matches its checkout line.

ID.me lists one: 15% off for teachers in its group list and 20% off for teachers with verification at checkout.
Which rate is right?

ID.me lists 15% off for students on the same page.
