United Airlines doesn’t have a teacher discount that we could confirm. ID.me says it isn’t aware of one, and nothing we found shows a teacher or educator fare. The savings you can count on are cash back: Fluz lists 1.5% on United purchases made with a Fluz virtual card.
United is a Chicago-based airline, formed in the 1930s from several earlier carriers, and its MileagePlus members earn miles on United flights and on partner airlines, hotels and retailers. If you’re pricing a flight home for the holidays, a conference or a summer trip once grades are in, you’ll pay the regular fare, and the cash back below is the one thing we found that lowers it. See more car and travel discounts for teachers for places that do list a teacher rate.
How To Get The United Airlines Teacher Discount
There isn’t a teacher rate to claim, so there’s no ID to show and no code to enter. ID.me’s page for United says: “We’re not aware that United Mileage Plus offers Teachers discounts.” Older versions of this page talked up fares and perks that any traveler gets, which aren’t teacher discounts, so none of that is repeated here. The button below goes to Fluz, which is where the cash back comes from.
How The Cash Back Works
Fluz gives 1.5% cashback at United Airlines when you pay with a Fluz virtual card. A Fluz virtual card is a digital-only card with its own card number, expiration date, CVV and billing address, and it works anywhere Mastercard or Visa is accepted, including online and in store through Apple Pay or Google Pay. You create the card in your Fluz account, load it, and enter its details at United’s checkout like any other card.
That’s a small saving, not a fare cut. It’s open to any traveler, so there’s no teacher verification to go through. TopCashback has no United Airlines page, and Rakuten currently lists no cash back for it, so Fluz is the only route we found. Rates change, so check the percentage on the Fluz page before you book.
If You’re Booking For A Class Or A School Trip
Nothing we found says United discounts fares for teachers, but a trip with students or a large group of colleagues is a different kind of booking. Airlines generally have a group desk for that, so ask United about a group rate before you buy individual tickets, and get any quote in writing. This page doesn’t list a group rate because we couldn’t confirm one.
