New England’s largest zoological experience, this family-owned zoo features over 850 animals in naturalistic habitats. Operated privately without federal or state funding, revenue from admission fees and special events supports operations at this private zoo that offers education programs as well as conservation efforts and research initiatives; its birthday pavilion can even be rented out for special events!

Mendon Zoo in Blackstone Valley provides a fun and educational place for the whole family to visit, with big cats, white rhinoceroses, and chimpanzees among many exotic and rare animals from around the world. Additionally, its Skyfari Sky Ride gives visitors a bird’s-eye view of these impressive animals from above!

On Teachers’ Day (general admission only), the zoo will offer free admission to educators – one ticket per teacher with valid identification required. They also host various special events throughout the year like Military Families Day, Mad About Monkey’s Day and Zoo Boo Days to honor teachers!
