There’s no teacher code and no verification to go through. What helps is the gym you pick, so start there:
- Find your nearest gym on the Snap Fitness gym finder.
- Ask for the month-to-month price, and ask whether the gym has a rate for school staff. Each gym is independently owned and operated, so one gym’s answer doesn’t carry over to the next.
- Ask for a tour or a free trial. Many gyms offer one, from a single day to a week.
- Ask whether the price on the gym’s website is online only or in-store only, since gyms run different promotions for each, and take the better of the two.

Using An HSA Or FSA
Snap Fitness works with Truemed, which lets you use pre-tax HSA or FSA dollars toward a membership. Truemed says members save an average of 30% on eligible memberships and fitness programs for 12 months. You take a short health survey, pay a $20 fee and, if you qualify, get a Letter of Medical Necessity. Then you pay for the membership without using your HSA or FSA at checkout and submit the purchase to your HSA or FSA administrator for reimbursement. Truemed says claims are typically paid out in one to two weeks, and that HSA and FSA tax savings vary.
