Palm Beach Zoo gives current Palm Beach County public and private school teachers $25 off a Family membership or $15 off an Individual membership. It’s a discount on a membership, not on a day ticket, and the Membership page says it must be purchased in person at the front gate, with proof of employment. The county is part of the wording, so this is a local offer for teachers who work in Palm Beach County.
If you’d be back at the zoo more than once, a membership is the offer to look at: the page says a Zoo Membership lets you visit as many times as you would like for an entire year. The part to plan around is the front gate, so here’s what the page says to do.
How To Get The Palm Beach Zoo Teacher Discount
Go to the front gate with proof that you work at a Palm Beach County public or private school, and ask for the teacher membership. The page puts it in capital letters: the discounted membership must be purchased in person at the front gate, for all current Palm Beach County public and private school teachers, who must show proof of employment. It adds that restrictions apply, and doesn’t say what they are or which documents count as proof, so bring more than one thing that shows where you teach.
What The Membership Costs
The page lists a Family membership at $224.95, for two adults and up to four children living in the same household ages 17 and under, with additional children at $19.95. The Individual membership is $74.95. The teacher line takes $25 off the Family membership and $15 off the Individual one. The page doesn’t print a teacher price, so ask at the gate what the total comes to before you pay.
Who Counts As A Teacher
The wording is all current Palm Beach County public and private school teachers. It doesn’t mention retired teachers, substitutes, aides, homeschool parents or teachers who live in the county but work somewhere else, so if you’re in one of those groups, call the zoo before you make the trip.
Bringing A Class
A class trip is priced on the Group Rates page. For school groups it lists students at $10.50 and adults at $14.50, and says school groups require a 1:10 chaperone to student ratio. For every 10 student admissions purchased, you receive one complimentary adult chaperone admission. For reservations or group inquiries, the page says to email or call (561) 547-WILD (9453) x238.
Visiting On Your Own
We didn’t find a teacher discount on day admission. The Plan Your Visit page has no teacher or educator wording in it, and it says that at this time Palm Beach Zoo does not offer discounts for SNAP or EBT programs. The teacher savings here are on the membership.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
TopCashback has a Palm Beach Zoo page that says to get 1% of the price back with its Palm Beach Zoo Cash Back offers, and it lists the offer as Palm Beach Zoo Cash Back Online Purchase 1%. Its exclusions include use of a coupon code not displayed on TopCashback. The teacher membership has to be bought in person at the gate, and TopCashback’s offer is labeled an online purchase, so we can’t say it would track on that membership. Fluz has no store page for Palm Beach Zoo, and Rakuten’s address for it loads a general page instead of a store page.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The Membership page says restrictions apply but doesn’t list them, and it doesn’t name the documents that count as proof of employment. It also doesn’t say whether the $15 or $25 discount applies to the Individual Senior membership, which the page lists at $69.95 for individuals aged 60 and over, or whether it applies to the additional children added to a Family membership. We didn’t find an end date for the teacher offer.
