Nike gives eligible school teachers, faculty and staff at accredited schools in the US 10% off most items on Nike.com and in the Nike App. Nike’s own teacher discount page says so. After you verify, Nike gives you a single-use promo code to use at checkout.
If a pair of running shoes or a gift is on your holiday list, two limits are worth knowing first. Nike says the code has to be redeemed within two weeks of receiving it, and the discount applies to the first $500 of a qualified purchase.
How To Get The Nike Teacher Discount
Nike says you’ll need to complete a verification form, including your school-issued email address, and that you may be asked to upload documentation to verify your status. The form is hosted by SheerID, and it asks you to verify you’re an educator, faculty, or staff at an accredited educational institution. It says the email address must be your school-issued email address.
After successful verification, Nike says it provides a single-use promo code for 10% off most items. To use it, sign in to your Nike Member profile and use your promo code during checkout. Nike’s terms say to log in as a Member to Nike.com or the Nike apps and enter the promo code during checkout.
What The Terms Say
The terms say the promo code is valid for one use only, and that the offer expires and the code must be redeemed within two weeks of receiving it. It’s redeemable on Nike.com, in the Nike App, and its affiliate pages in the United States, and it isn’t redeemable on Swoosh.com. The discount applies to the first $500 of a qualified purchase.
The discount isn’t valid on select products, including but not limited to Nike By You, gift cards, select Launch and SNKRS products, and Apple products. The code can be used in combination with free shipping promo codes only. It isn’t transferable, and it isn’t redeemable for cash, gift cards, credit, or toward previous purchases.
Where Else It’s Listed
SheerID’s marketplace lists Nike as offering a 10% discount to students, teachers, first responders, military, and medical professionals, and the percentage matches Nike’s own page. ID.me’s Nike teacher page says it isn’t aware of Nike offering Teachers community discounts, so the SheerID form on Nike’s page is the route we could confirm.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
Nike’s page describes the discount two ways. The body says 10% off most items, while the terms paragraph says an additional 10% off select items. We couldn’t tell which wording governs a particular product, so check the price after you enter the code, and see the exclusions above for the products Nike names. The list says “including but not limited to,” which means it may not be complete.
The terms name Nike.com, the Nike App and affiliate pages in the United States, and we didn’t find a word on whether the code works in a Nike store. The page says “teachers, faculty, and staff” without spelling out whether a substitute or an aide counts, so the verification form is where that gets decided. Nike printed 10% when we looked, so check the percentage on the page before you plan a big order.
