New Balance gives teachers 15% off online. Its own ID.me discount page says it’s offering a 15% off online discount to show its gratitude, and teachers are on the list of who can verify. You verify with ID.me, and New Balance gives you a unique discount code to use at checkout.
If new running shoes are on your holiday list, plan around the limits before you build a cart. The discount is valid only at newbalance.com for full price purchases, each code is good once, and you get one code per customer per 30 days.
How To Get The New Balance Teacher Discount
New Balance’s page lays out three steps. First, verify your status with ID.me. New Balance says it will confirm your eligibility and offer a unique discount code. Second, shop newbalance.com and add eligible items to your bag. Third, use the provided unique discount code at checkout to receive your discount.
If you don’t have an ID.me account yet, the page says to click the verification link and follow the instructions to create one. After you create it, you confirm your email address if asked, and then you can receive your unique discount code. The page also says ID.me can verify eligibility and provide a customized discount code that can be used at checkout.
Who Counts As A Teacher
The page says teachers, hospital or medical employees, nurses, first responders, military members, government employees and seniors 60+ can verify their affiliation using ID.me. For teachers, its definition reads: classroom teachers, principals, school employees, college professors, and more.
What It Doesn’t Cover
New Balance’s fine print says the discount is valid only at newbalance.com for full price purchases, and that there’s a limit of one code per customer per 30 days. It says the discount cannot be combined with other offers and that each code is valid for one-time use only. It adds that exclusions apply.
New Balance also has a Sale Exclusions page that says certain footwear and clothing styles are currently excluded from all discounts, coupons and promotional codes. Check it before you pick a pair, since a style on that list may not take the code.
What ID.me’s Listing Adds
ID.me’s New Balance Athletics store page lists 15% off orders up to $400 plus free shipping for Teachers. That matches New Balance’s 15%, but the $400 limit and the free shipping appear only on ID.me’s listing. New Balance’s own page doesn’t print either one, so treat them as ID.me’s description until you see them at checkout.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
We couldn’t confirm the $400 limit or the free shipping, because only ID.me prints them. We also couldn’t tell whether the list on the Sale Exclusions page is the same list New Balance means by “exclusions apply” on the ID.me page, since that page doesn’t link to it. New Balance’s Pricing and Promotions FAQ page wouldn’t load for us, so we couldn’t read anything it says about stacking or holiday offers.
The page says teachers include classroom teachers, principals, school employees and college professors, and then says “and more” without listing who else counts. It doesn’t state a country limit, so check at verification if you’re outside the United States. Look at the percentage on the page before you plan a big order.
