NBA League Pass doesn’t have a teacher discount you can use right now. It did: NBA’s own help article lists educators among the groups eligible for 30% off 12 months of League Pass Monthly through GovX, but the offer’s end date on that page has passed. We also didn’t find a cash back route for League Pass, so there’s nothing to claim at the moment.
We’re keeping this page because the offer was real and educators were named in it, which means the NBA has run one before. If you’ve got a game schedule in mind for this season, here’s what the offer looked like and what to do instead.
How To Get The NBA League Pass Teacher Discount
You can’t, at the moment. The NBA League Pass GOVX Offer article describes an exclusive 30% discount on 12 months of NBA League Pass Monthly. It lists educators among the groups it covers, and it says the offer is available only to verified GovX members. After you verify with GovX, you receive a unique promo code to redeem on NBA.com. The article also says the promotional offer expires on a date that has now passed, so there’s no code to get.
The article says that if you have trouble verifying, or verified but didn’t receive a promo code, you should reach out to GovX. That’s the one contact it names for the offer.
What The Offer Looked Like
If NBA runs it again, the shape is worth knowing. The discount was 30% off, it lasted 12 months, and it only applied to NBA League Pass Monthly. The article says it can’t be used or upgraded on any other subscription type. At the end of the promotion period the subscription renews at the then-current League Pass monthly price, so the 12 months of savings end on their own and the full price comes back.
We can’t tell you whether NBA will bring it back, and we haven’t found a published date for a new one.
Cash Back Routes We Checked
Fluz and TopCashback have no page for NBA League Pass at the addresses we tried, and Rakuten’s address for it loads a general page instead of a store page. TopCashback does have a page for NBA Store, but that’s a different merchant, and we didn’t test whether it covers a League Pass subscription, so we’re not counting it as a cash back route.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
We didn’t log in to GovX or to NBA.com, so we can’t tell you what League Pass costs today or whether a new offer is posted behind a login. We also don’t know whether a school email or another document is required to verify as an educator on GovX, since the help article doesn’t say. If a new offer appears, the NBA help article is the place it would be described first.
