Naples Zoo doesn’t list a discount for individual teachers. What it does publish is a school rate for booked visits: $12 per student, with 1 adult per 10 paying students free and required. The school rate covers schools, homeschools, daycares and camps.
If you’re bringing a class, the booking form comes first, and the zoo’s pages are specific about how far ahead and how payment works. Here’s the rate, the two ways to book, and what the guided programs include.
How To Get The Naples Zoo Teacher Discount
The self-guided visits page lists the school rate as $12 per student, with chaperones listed as 1 adult per 10 paying students free and required, and Additional Adults at $22.95 each. The free adult is listed as a chaperone, so the page doesn’t set aside a separate teacher rate.
Reservations are required and must be made a minimum of one week prior to your desired visit date. A minimum of 10 paying guests is required to obtain the discounted group rate. Your group must check in at the same time to qualify, and guests arriving after check in need to purchase a general admission ticket. Payment for your group is due at least 5 business days prior to your visit date.
The page also invites groups to take advantage of the free daily activities, including the Primate Expedition Cruise and the Meet the Keeper series, all at a discounted admission rate.
Field Trip Experiences
If you want a lesson led by the zoo, the field trip experiences page says the programs are led by experienced Zoo educators and include interactive STEAM and inquiry-based lessons, animal experiences, and mini treks in the Zoo. Programs last approximately one hour. The rate is $77 plus Zoo admission for Early Ed through 5th Grade and $109 plus Zoo admission for 6th through 12th Grade, with up to 30 individuals per program. The page also says groups of 10 or more will receive a discounted admission rate.
The programs are built around grade levels. Critter Coverings is a pre-K nature-based program available for families and school groups. In Wildlife Trackers, students investigate the movements of the Burmese python through the swamp and the health of the elusive Florida panther. Careers & Conservation is a two-hour and 30-minute program, and students meet with professionals from Naples Zoo as they share their journey and road map to success.
Booking works differently for the guided programs. They must be booked at least three weeks prior to your desired visit date, and a deposit of the School or Non-school program cost is required to secure a reservation date and will be used toward your final payment. One adult is required for every 10 students or children attending, and the page says rain checks will not be issued for this program. The self-guided visits page adds that Naples Zoo plants one tree for each student visiting on a field trip through one of its long-term conservation partners.
Visiting On Your Own
If you’re visiting with your own family instead of a class, we found no teacher price on the zoo’s plan your visit page. It lists a military discount, where a military spouse, children, and others in their party receive $2 off standard admission, and it says the AZA Zoo Member Reciprocal Discount takes $2 off with a photo I.D. and a valid Zoo Membership card. The page adds that all other discounts are only available in person.
Families, community groups and collective living groups have their own group rates on the self-guided visits page: $15.95 for each child (ages 3-12), $22.95 for each adult (ages 13-64) and $21.95 for each senior (ages 65 and up). Those need a minimum of 10 paying guests.
What We Couldn’t Confirm
The plan your visit page says all other discounts are only available in person, but it doesn’t list a teacher discount among them, so we couldn’t confirm whether the gate honors a school ID. We didn’t test the zoo’s online ticket purchase or submit a booking form. We also found no cash back route: we didn’t find a Fluz or TopCashback page for Naples Zoo, and Rakuten’s address for it loads a general page instead of a store page.
